I do plan on using it instead of Powerpoint for conferences, but have only done a few dry runs so far. I'm including it in my ENGL101 classes this fall to satisfy our digital media requirement and will also be introducing it to my professional writing students as well.
I really like the responsive nature of it and its incredible ease in getting started. I don't like the limited formatting and the (to my eyes) strange way it looks when embedded in a site - I'd rather be able to place the presentation as part of the actual site instead of as an embed.
Here's an example of a Sway I put together as a review of a local museum's show. https://sway.com/L0b3UgzJ7Q...

Re: 5 Under $50 – June 25, 2015

What about the Levi's 514?

Re: Largehearted Boy: Contest - Win a Jack Kerouac Bobblehead and a $100 Threadless Gift Certificate

Chekov

Re: 11 Writers Who Loved Cats

You might have to put Burroughs in the "loved some cats" column. His friend and author Barry Miles writes in "The Beat Hotel" that Burroughs "...had a habit of torturing the hotel cats..." when he lived in Tangiers.

Re: If Problogger gave away a trip to Pittsburgh…

The Vanko murals at St Nick's

Re: Wordle Revisited

I use Wordle when teaching captivity narratives in Early Am Lit to point out, for example, the waxing and waning of the emphasis on words like "God" depending on the gender of the author, when the narrative was written and so forth.

Re: Kit-A-Day Giveaway – Edo-Style Clock Kit

Love the Gakken kits.

Re: Kit-A-Day Giveaway: Defusable Alarm Clock Kit

Thanks.

Re: Kit-A-Day Giveaway: Free MakerBot!

Yes, please.

Re: Giveaway: Hurry! I too use my Touch for Skype with the wife - although I'm horrified by how I look (when did I get so old? And fat? The camera may add 10 pounds, but the other 30 are clearly lifestyle choices). My wife also likes using Gchat as she can sneak in a few quick comments while at work.

However, a quick postcard or letter makes both us much happier. I've been bombing her and my daughter with the Postagram app (http://postagramapp.com) which turns Instagram app photos into postcards (the image is detachable) for $.99. It lets them see some of what I'm seeing and is a sort of little postal present.

Re: Handling Overzealous Student Questions

I imagine this would be a terrible problem with larger classes. I’m blessed with small class sizes, but I train them from the first day to know that the first thing I do when the class starts is to explain what we’re going to cover that day in outline form. They know that there will always be time for general questions, but at the end of class (when I’ve already answered most of them) not at the beginning. An important part of the training process is not to budge – when a random general question comes up, I always respond, “We’ll have time for general questions at the end of the class.” It’s really about building trust and consistency.
On a side note, this problem is much more prevalent in my online courses. Because (in my opinion) Blackboard is such a mess for students to navigate, their first response is to contact me via email or text or IM about information that is covered in the course material. here again, I refuse to answer the question directly but guide them back to the syllabus or “Faculty Office” Q & A, training them to look there first before firing off a panicked missive.

Re: On the Move: Packing Your Belongings

Digitize everything possible. I'd also like to see conference organizers (especially those at smaller conferences) more actively promote tools like the ones under discussion.
