Cuomo says that politicians should not be involved in the decision as to who gets the casino licenses. He will appoint a commission to make these decisions. What he is really saying is that only he should decide who gets a casino because he will appoint the majority or all the commission members who will indirectly report to him.

Cumo has a better public relations spin than Hitler did. The media and public buy into his crusade for the taxpayer crap. Everyone who opposses his ideas is labeled as being backed by special interests. Please define "special"! The people backing Cuomo are never labeled as being special interests but are they not? The Business Council and wall street tycoons who paid almost $10 million of own money in the anti-state worker campaign last year certainly have their own interests in mind by bankrolling Cuomo and his ideas. Maybe Cuomo's ideas are not what he truly belives in, but the beliefs of special interests who will continue to fund his push to be President. The truth is, both Cuomo's and oppossing points of view have arguments with merit. The media does the public no favor by annointing King Andy and never questioning him when he consistently uses rationale of making government more efficient as a ruse to gain total power.

Thats' what Colonie voters deserve for voting liberals into office, more of the same tax and spend polocies that liberals are known for. Not only will our cell phone bills increase, but the service will decline. Way to go Paula!

Pollock Rd. is a major shortcut people use to avoid the current mess at the I-87/Rt 7 interchange (exit 6). These people buy their homes on busy roads then want the speed limit lowered. They knew of the speed limit prior to purchase. There are very few homes directly on pollock rd once you get east of the Winding Brook Apartments. The speed limit on this stretch of road should have been left as 40 mph. At any rate, it will be unenforceable as drivers will always go whatever speed they can handle along that stretch. The police can't station a car there forever.

People like Ken Champaign need to get a life. The NIMBY's want everything just not near them. What is the real difference in 5 decibels? The noise level should have been left alone at 70- decibels. Why is the town board so quick to react the the wishes of a handful of peole. The majority of us have no problems with the current noise levels.

Lets see how well Harrison does when it is time to negotiate new teacher contracts. Just a hunch that the taxpayer will get shafted again. Why must North Colnies school budget increase 5% a year when all other school districts in the area had to cut their school budgets? The voters need to wake up and say enough is enough. As long as school boards are made up of former educators the taxpayer will never get a break.
