7 days on and I'm still waiting. I read elsewhere to try adding a listing with Tom Tom Places - http://places.tomtom.com/en...

I did this yesterday, no effect so far.

@Alistiar, TC 14 is my favourite. I think the pound image should be softened a little. Maybe to something like #363636. If you could post a PSD I could touch it up a bit for you.

@Mr. M., personally I don't the blue one you made. The yellow is much better. Maybe if the yellow was a closer match to the real reader it would look better.

Dave, if you have time, do you mind trying something for me? I'm not the developer by am keen to make my blog as helpful as possible.

1. On you iPhone, go to Settings/Safari/"Clear Cookies" and "Clear Cache"
2. Next, remove one of the fbCals (Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars)
3. Finally, try re-adding the calendar using my procedure

No worries, if it's a hassle, I'm someone else will post if they have problems.

Dave, where you following the procedure using Safari on your iPhone?

I've just updated my procedure to make it a bit simpler and have tested it and it seems to work perfectly for me.

@guest, thanks for the tip. I had not come across QuickMark so I downloaded it and performed some testing using this QR code:

I tested bot the free "lite" version of QuickMark as well as the paid version (£1.19 in the UK). The results were very interesting:

30x30mm
BeeTag - YES
QuickMark Lite - YES
QuickMark (full) - YES

25x25mm
BeeTag - YES
QuickMark Lite - NO
QuickMark (full) - YES

20x20mm
BeeTag - NO
QuickMark Lite - NO
QuickMark (full) - YES

15x15mm
BeeTag - NO
QuickMark Lite - NO
QuickMark (full) - NO

So it seems the paid version of QuickMark has superior recognition abilities to the free version. it also has some other neat features including the ability to create codes and share them on your screen. I especially like the automatic scanning without having to take a photo first. I wonder if it this that improves it's abilty to recognise codes.

At this point it seems QuickMark is the best PAID QR code reader for the iPhone, however the best FREE reader is still BeeTag.

I should also say that the above tests were on a regular iPhone 3G. Hopefully tonight I can retest using an iPhone 3GS and will update the blog post with the results.

Very true Mike. I guess the principle really only applies to the same people who are forgoing MJ ticket refunds for a pretty "collectable" ticket. :)
