you don't need to be a Hebrew prophet or Bible scholar to see God has not blessed the Gloucester fishing fleet. the request made year after year has been denied. the fishing fleet drowned amid NOAA paperwork.

it is wise to consider why God denied the request? read Peter's two epistles in the New Testament and the truth will be evident.

i am merely observing the matter from the Biblical perspective. the Bible is believed to be God's revelation of His character and will regarding our behavior.

myself, a mediocre Christian, and far far far better Christians like Martin Luther, Augustine, John Hus, Bonhoeffer, William and Catherine Booth, AW Tozer, CT Studd, Hudson Taylor, John Bunyan would have said the same about Wendy's path. they, like me, trust Scripture.

you have a Fiesta each year supposedly honoring a Jewish fisherman named Peter who followed a Jewish Rabbi named Jesus. and a request to 'bless the fleet' is DENIED as evidenced by the fleet's non-existence/demise, hmmm?

why the DENIAL? is Gloucester doing something/anything Peter disapproved of? here's what he wrote as found in the New Testament - "If God did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people. but protected righteous Noah, if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly, but rescued righteous Lot, who was distressed by the filthy lives of godless men . . so, you take the rainbow, a sign God himself chose to symbolize his covenant with Noah - and you change it to symbolize homosexuality - and you hoist that flag over Gloucester - glorifying and exalting a primary sin God incinerated Sodom and Gomorrah for . . . and you imagine your Fiesta Mass will make God smile.

Mrs. Mayor - you get an F- in theology.
+ you get an F- in leadership because the Bible teaches that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" and clearly you've neither - fear or wisdom.

and what kind of a minister of the gospel would not address such irreverence and rebuke it and quote the verses condemning homosexual behavior.

is there an actual Christian minister in any pulpit on Cape Ann?

you are allowing a 1-2% faction to drag the community's morality down to the lowest possible level. that flag symbolizes, not = , but how intimidation succeeds in a Godless & immoral society.

a Christian minister would recognize that flag is an attack on Christ and his gospel and 2,000 years of Christian history.

rem - a primary theme all throughout the Bible is CARE OF THE POOR. that is why i have been taking in homeless people for 30 years.

Jesus was Jewish. he obeyed all 613 laws of the Mosaic code every single day of his life. one of those laws reads: "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable." also, Romans chapter 1 condemns homosexual behavior. the Apostle Paul wrote Romans. he is the servant of the resurrected Christ.

remember, God's commandments are for your moral & spiritual guidance/protection - be thankful. not rebellious.

we live in a land based at its founding on Judeo-Christian moral values.

murder is illiegal. because the 6th commandment in the Bible states: You shall not murder. stealing is illegal. because the 8th commandment in the Bible states: You shall not steal. perjury is illegal because the 9th commandment states: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. adultery is frowned upon because the 9th commandment in the Bible states: You shall not commit adultery.

so, no one is singling out homosexual behavior. likewise, the Bible prohibits it. we are and always have been a nation founded on FAITH. faith in the Biblical moral code and the God who gave it.

homosexuals have Christians to thank for tolerance. they can choose homosexual behavior and suffer no consequences. in 23 Muslim countries imprisonment or death for homosexual behavior. which is nuts.
