Michael you should understand the labor to pick vegtables is about 3% of the retail cost. The average cost that people will gladly work to do these jobs is about 1.5 time minimum wage. Your talking about things going up 5-10 cents max. This what I did, as did many of my friends...peace.

The labor to pick vegtables is about 3% to 6% of the retail cost. The average cost that people will gladly work to do these jobs is about 1.5 time minimum wage. Your talking about things going up 5-10 cents max. In construction ( for a $5000 job) you may be talking an an extra 200 to 400. This what I did, as did many of my friends.And if this is the cost of creating 2-3 million more jobs for citizens, it's a lot cheaper than any government program our president has put in place...peace.

None of these are OK in that God calls each one of us to be transformed into his likeness, by the indwelling of His Spirit. Pastor D We don't really know or understand. Maybe it's not passed down in many cases, but alcoholism, ADHD, bi-polar anger , seem to have a genetic component for what it's worth. The wonderful thing is God meets you where you are and I never underestimate a persons ability to change, if they are willing. One thing we do know is behavioral reinforcement is a key component in behavior.

Immigration regulations, enforcement, and deportation are the Constitutional duty of the Feds, and their sloppy job doesn't change the fact that it is the President's job to step up and protect our citizens. What we need is a President who understands it an will enable our immigration authorities and provide the resources to get it done.

The medical system certainly does need improvement, however the Federal government currently does not have the authority to force every citizen involuntarily to purchase this product... The President needs a Constitutional amendment to grant the Federal government the exclusive authority to take on this duty. This is the legitimate way and democratic way this is accomplished, not by President Obama ramming this down the American public's throat, and writing special interest profits into the legislation at the behest of Big Medical corporations. ..peace.

David, The "new" thing here is tax has always been allowed on the basis that consumption is voluntary.
Car tax, property tax, alcohol tax have been voluntary activities. If your a person who believes in natural holistic medicine and desires to live in the woods and eat herbs, nuts and berries, you can't opt out. The deal is the
fiscal structure( the small percentage of those previously uninsurable at any cost) is based upon to mandatory participation(fees) of all those who are least likely to access the benefits; the young adults. Just like an involuntary war draft. Without the young paying for the services and not using the services, and providing a surplus, the numbers don't come anywhere close to working.

Hi David I understand what you saying but the mechanism for road taxes is purchasing gas(state and federal roads). The mechanism for police and schools here is property tax enabled by the choice of deciding to own a home. Other methods are choices we make for communication or entertainment, etc, etc. You can avoid most of these is you decide not to own a home(rent), or choose public transportation etc. The 10% French tax of course is based on income, again a personal choice. With the "affordable healthcare act" there is no optional way for a citizen to live and not be forced to buy into the legislation, under penalty. First time that I can ever think of. This was the SCOTUS discussion of whether this was commerce regulation or commerce creation.

Forgive me for not communicating clearly, The difference David is that a person can choose to not to subsidize and participate a consumption tax if you feel so inclined, one way or another. This is like a head tax, there are no options out of the affordable healthcare tax, specifically because young healthy adults would much rather pay out of pocket than be forced to bear large premium chunks to subsidize others. This is why SCOTUS discussed creating rather than regulating.

Stop it? I understand there are many choices from overexposure to the sun, to smoking to xtremes sports activities or even spiritual pursuits that are various aspects of roads I choose not to travel. Like wise I may choose spiritual paths / nutritional paths others may seem as folly. Jeff every organization is a mixed bag. There are those within La Raza who view it as nothing more than a Hispanic social club, those who view it as a civil rights focused group focused on the Hispanic community, some who would love a California to Mexico succession and even a surprisingly high percentage who espouse Brown Pride/Brown superiority the same way White Pride organizations operate..The difference with race based groups white/Black/ Brown Indian in general is they are all about systematic separation of races as opposed the thought we are all creations of value, created in God's image.

So it doesn't lower costs or improve healthcare. but it is a big victory for Big Med. and Big Pharma. All citizens are forced to buy a product as long as we call it tax. It will be interesting to see what legal gymnastics and contortions the Justices twisted to come up with this conclusion. Nice, so if we don't want to pay the tax and decide to take the alternative route of healthy eating, exercise and living with nature we pay a fine, go to jail or have our property confiscated, all so that Big Med corporations can have a endless stream of revenue. Walter the administration has disclosed that the 'affordable healthcare act"does not lower costs, although that is what was originally promised. In fact now any benifits you receive from your employer will be taxed as income.. The devil is always in the details...there are no free lunches, except for Big Med, and the few who were unable to get insurance at any cost. Young healthy adults are probably the biggest losers, it's exactly like a war draft.The majority of the funding comes from the young will will seldom if ever use the services but who will pay large premiums. That my friend is how this scheme is funded...peace
