I think that it's true you have it or you don't, but I also think that there's a large number of people who have it, that aren't encouraged or inspired to indulge in it. It's far more socially acceptable to be apathetic and uninvolved than it is to be a Julia or a Charles, which I think is reflected in the negative press both of them have received. I personally think apathy is a terribly unattractive quality in a person.

I have a cord that connects to the top jack that allows me to plug my ipod into my tv. I don't pretend to know how it works, I'm really not an AV nerd (yet), but it does. I assume that this is using the same technology.

I hate that too, but I've been really upset lately. Johnny Cash, June Carter, James Brown, George Carlin, Elliott Smith, and I can think of a dozen other greats that have died in the last few years. It makes me even more morose when I think about how my daughter doesn't have the opportunity to be inspired by some of my heroes, at least not in the same way.
