Great job — I can't begin to imagine the amount of work that went into this — the ontology editor looks amazingly extensible. Is there any way to compare two ontolgies along the lines of Potluck? http://simile.mit.edu/potluck/

Re: messages — yeah I reckon a shoutbox or something on someone's profile wouldn't go amiss. I guess it depends how much you see this as a destination site. You've got all the users' social networks on display, so I can always get in touch through one of them. But if I get in touch through you, I might become more attached the community here?

Last.fm straddles the same kinds of issues — they offer a pretty minimal messaging system but it seems to work quite well.

One more thing — any chance I can remove likes or visits on things I don't wish to share?

Yeah — really great work guys. I'd really like a search option and some more helpful navigation, but this is a great start.

I particularly like the things in common with other users, that's really nice. I'm sure you don't want to be accused of going up against Fb, but you could add a message system — it'd be nice to drop someone a line about their good taste in movies.

Impressive stuff, I can't wait to see what comes next.

You got a place to stay lined up? I had a great time at the NY Loft Hostel in Brooklyn for a tiny $20/night. Free wifi and hot-tub. You have to put up with snoring people in a dorm room for that price, but as a place to crash it worked great for me.
