Is this happening for you on an iPad or an iPhone? iPads are served with the desktop version at the moment, and phones are served with a different mobile version, both of which have different ad solutions running. He's a retailer. As he said, there are strong DIY communities, but many prospective e-bike buyers don't want to build their own, they just want to buy one and ride it.

Re: Harvesting Liberty: This short film explores reintroduction of industrial hemp production to US

If you want to know more about whether or not farmers are profiting from industrial hemp, see the book Hemp Bound: http://www.treehugger.com/s... Too bad you can't ask any US farmers about it, because IT'S BEEN ILLEGAL HERE FOR DECADES. Canadian farmers are using it as both part of their crop rotation and as a cash crop. The US imports some $500 million in hemp products per year, but because of misguided policies, American farmers can't get a piece of that. It sure beats the hell out of growing subsidized commodity crops that require a whole lot more farm inputs (fertilizer, pesticides/herbicides, water). But it sounds like you're already convinced that you're right...

Re: SolSource solar cooker offers a fast, low-carbon option for home cooking

Ah, you mean the coal or natural gas cooker. Unless you live where hydro or wind or solar are your electricity sources... Yeah, that totally makes sense to use an electric cooker as a low-carbon accessory. That's like saying solar PV is greenwashing... But yes, if you live where it's rarely sunny, then you might not use this. However, considering the high insolation that occurs even in the north of many countries, a solar cooker could very well be used for many days of the year.

Re: FAQ: How Much Should I Pay a Freelance Writer? If you have issues with their work, on a scientific basis, not a personal bias, then I suggest you contact them for more info.

It's interesting that you have nothing to say about the other 11 additives that EWG names. But being in the flavor industry, I'd imagine you'd know a lot about what goes into 'flavoring', and I'm having a hard time accepting that all of those artificial flavoring ingredients are really just vanilla beans or mint leaves.

Also, when I go to my local food co-op (which many people call a 'health food store'), I can buy a bottle of pure vanilla extract. At the big chain grocery store, I can buy a bottle of imitation 'vanilla extract', which has... wait for it... secret ingredients labeled as "Natural Flavorings" and "Artificial Flavoring", as well as other ingredients such as corn syrup. http://www.mccormick.com/Sp... If I buy a box of cookies at my food co-op, and that recipe includes only real vanilla extract, it will say something like 'vanilla extract', not the very ambiguous "vanilla flavoring".

Re: Solarade portable solar charger is powerful and lightweight (Review)

It really does. It's a new product, from a new design, and the intention of this post was to introduce it and review it, not convince you to buy one. Yes, there are many other similar solar chargers (though I doubt there are "thousands" of different models available) on the market, and yes, some are cheaper, some are heavier, some are folding, some suck, some are great, and it's up to the buyer to do those comparisons and then buy the one that they want.

Re: Solarade portable solar charger is powerful and lightweight (Review)

Yes, the phrase "generating true 1000 mAh power" comes directly from the company, which is why it's in quotes. I'm not in the business of changing the words of claims of companies, and I do know that mAh is not the same as mA, but if I didn't post any amp figures for this unit whatsoever, you'd probably be making "incompetence complains" about that. I don't see any intentional confusion generated by Solarade, although it seems that English is a second language for the creators, so that may be why.
