I completely agree! Somerset Square has always been a confusing, non- descriptive name that never gained wide traction because of it. "Shawn Little Park" will have the same fate. Because it's clearly NOT a "park" as most people understand it.

I'd also be a *bit* sensitive to the legitimate concerns about the less-sunny side of Shawn Little's legacy in the neighbourhood. As Eric suggests, "Little" on its own is a lovely word for a little urban space. I'd suggest using just the word "Little" as part of a place-name could allow us to honour his service without necessarily rubbing salt in old wounds.

So as a branding guy, here are some (free!) suggestions.

- Little Junction
- Little Park
- Little Somerset Place
- Little Corner
- Little Corner Park

The last is my favourite. It's warm and quirky and can be read as "Little / Corner Park" or "Little Corner / Park". And as a place name, I could easily see "Little Corner" becoming shorthand for that intersection. "I'll meet you at Little Corner" "You know, Little Corner - where that Little Corner Park is at Somerset and Wellington West."

Exactly. It's great to have multiple layers of meaning and symbolism. But for a mass-market consumer brand like Uber, where that little screen icon is THE gateway to your brand, a simple memory-hook is key.

I also miss the distinctive mint-shaped leaves. You could have gone a good way to improving this logo without genericizing it. That one unique element was what kept this identity... fresh.
