As a former cop I can tell you. Pit bulls are killers. If one so much as heads in your direction, just shoot him. I will. I've seen what they can do and have done. Whenever we'd get a call about a person mauled by a dog we'd look at each other and say "Pit Bull." It of course was not always hte case - just MOST of the time. Blame whoever you want - the owners, the criminal, the kid, the neighborhood, the society - but shoot the dog.

Papa John's has RATS! Papa John's pizza is now banned form all my corporate offices nationwide. No Papa John's employess will be allowed on any company peoperty for any reason. They stand by their snitch? Fine. You are now Pizza non grata in amny, many places. I heard Papa John's was also anti-gay, anti-black, anti-immigrant, anti-semitic and considers Mormonism a cult. I heard that Papa John was born in Kenya, is an illegal immigrant and was responsible for the sinking of the Maine! He should pay in cash receipts for his despicable politics.

I hope people remember that they saw Ricky Rodriguez first here, because he is going to be a big star, I think, especially since he is now taking acting as well as dancing lessons from Rafael Amargo himself!

An opinion on an artistic work must be respectful even if soundly critical. Abusive, arrogant, uninformed and prejudicial vitriole will not be respected - we are not all cheese-eating surrrender monkeys - some of us fight back.

Yes, jeanyves, I can explain why the kids sounded TO YOU like "spoilt [sic] Beverly Hills brats." This actual brother and sister (12 & 14) are Iranian Christians who escaped Teheran to avoid persecution and lived in Paris. Their native language was Farsi, and they learned fluent French in Paris, of course. Then after a tragedy took their father, the two kids and their now single mom moved to America to stay with relatives in Connecticut, where they learned English. Now only a person with a peculiar prejudice could surmise that these kids, who have never come within 3,000 miles of Beverly Hills, and are poor refugees, wounded, frightened and suffering - could somehow "sound like spoiled (not 'spoilt' - talk about amateurish writing....) brats." The short, first shown at Cannes, was written by a Pulitzer prize nominated Harvard scholar and professor of screenwriting, author of classic films for over 30 years - and you refer to his work as "amateurish." I'm betting you have never written anything of consequence, never made a successful film of any kind, and dislike attractive, hard-working kids. Maybe your politics affected your judgement. Why do they sound like "spoilt brats?' You ask. Better to ask your therapist.

Great music, great directing, great cinematography - too short, I wanted to see more and to get to know these people better. Powerful. It haunts you for awhile afterwards.
