I mean we're talking about 7,393 stimulus checks to cover his whole buyout! 3 million per year for Indiana University is not difficult to come up with, especially when we just backed the Brinks truck up for Coach Allen (rightfully so). There are plenty of donors who would gladly chip in their share, to start fresh. Unless you are holding out hope for an NIT invite, then do it now, and start your search for his successor now.

Re: Five takeaways from Indiana’s loss to Michigan State

Hummel had a great line last night when he said something to the effect of, "it's not a difficult game when you play it the right way..." Devonte was obviously banged up and his shot wasn't falling. I still think using Fitzner to stretch their defense and bring one of their bigs out would have been helpful. I genuinely hope Al, Devonte, and Rob are putting up shots in the gym right now. That's what made Vic great, he wasn't a great shooter, but he worked until he was a great shooter.

Re: At the buzzer: Wichita State 73, Indiana 63

Was at the game, any reason mentioned for Fitzner not playing? The guy donates 2 million dollars to help renovate the building and everyone wants to complain about his name being attached to... the entry plaza! It's not Ken Nunn's Assembly Hall of Champions. Maybe some have forgotten that the actual name of the building once renovations finish will be the "Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall," because they gave $40 million dollars. Everyone who were die hard about preserving the old building, have to live with the idea that a wealthy person contributed to its continued existence. Ken Nunn is the same guy that donated hundreds of thousands of dollars a couple years ago to add handrails to steep narrow steps at Assembly Hall as well. I'm all for the jokes about "no defense" inside the hall, because they are pretty funny, but blasting him because The University decided to attach his name to entry way because of a generous donation is a bit much. Enjoy the fact that we will be able to enjoy games for many years to come because of the aforementioned donations, and continue to call it Assembly Hall, much like Klipsch, Verizon Wireless, will always be Deer Creek to me.

Re: adidas unveils Heritage uniform for Big Ten Tournament

Do these contain a perk for defense?

Re: IU sophomore Hanner Mosquera-Perea arrested

I'd actually say that the sarcasm Splack used was easily interpreted.

Re: Super Easy Way to Case an Existing Window!

In woodworking, it's called a "reveal." I just want to see this team put a couple of good 40 minute performances together and toughen up. I want to see a win Sunday and a good showing in the B1G tourney, but above all I want them to come out of the gate of every game like gangbusters. Play with a sense of urgency for 40 minutes and never ever ever let your foot off the gas.

Re: Five takeaways from Indiana’s loss to Ohio State

I completely agree. In a situation like Tuesday night, where you are playing for an outright B1G title, senior night, and most would say the last home game for both Oladipo and Zeller, they both have to be on the floor. The two foul-sit the rest of the half rule is garbage. They get 5 fouls! I would trust both Victor and Cody to play smart enough with two to finish the first half out. If they get three, then sit them, but for Victor to only play 25 minutes in a game of that magnitude, is just a flat mistake by Coach Crean.

Re: The Minute After: Ohio State

I can always blame Teddy V for everything that goes wrong in my life.

Re: The Minute After: Minnesota

Like someone else said I just need to get this out and move on. First to the guy talking about jumping off the bandwagon. Criticism has nothing to do with jumping off the bandwagon. I think anyone with two eyes could tell you that Cody, Wat, and to a certain extent Yogi had terrible games. That being said, everyone knows Cody is soft, he is not physical in the post, he doesn't demand the ball, and he can disappear for large stretches during a game. Yes, he gets bodied a lot... welcome to the B1G. If you think Mbakwe is tough, what do you think the PFs and centers in the NBA are going to be like? Mbakwe is a 6 year Senior, also known as a grown ass man. He was one of the most dominant players in the B1G two years ago. If Cody cannot find a little bit of aggression inside of himself, then he will never reach his full potential. People bag on Will for his attitude. I wish Cody Zeller showed half of Will's intensity.

The story with Watford remains the same. You can tell how his game is going to go in the first five minutes. If he's into it, and going at the basket, we're golden. If he has that sleepy, care-free look on his face, we're not. All the talk of Yogi having a terrible night, how many of his missed shots were hard takes at the rim where there was contact and no foul? Cody apparently gets fouled on every layup, but Yogi doesn't? His shot selection can be criticized sometimes, but when everyone is standing around in that infamous "Mike Davis" style offense, someone has to do something.

Jordan Hulls. Arguably the best three point shooter in the nation. Quickest release and deadly from deep. Kid comes out hotter than a two dollar pistol in the first half and single-handedly kept us afloat. No plays run for him in the second half. This is the same thing that used to happen to Matt Roth. You have an unbelievable shooter, with a ridiculously hot hand, find a way to get him the ball!

I'll close with this, as poorly as Minnesota shot from deep, they could have won this one going away by double digits. They had so many clean looks, but just weren't hitting. This IU team for some reason has the ability to infuriate me beyond belief. Maybe it's because I've bought into the concept of being the best team in the country, and expect to go into "The Barn," against a team who is 4-7 since we played them last and win. I'm not going to blame the officials, because IU gets calls at Assembly Hall just like anyone else. I'm just tired of seeing teams rush the court...really, really, tired of it.

Re: The curious case of Zeller and Nix: Who’s at fault?

My thoughts on this ridiculous topic, is that Cody Zeller should have turned down Gottlieb for an interview to begin with. There are a few people in the sports world that I absolutely cannot stand, Gottlieb is my overall number one, Ted Valentine, Skip Bayless, and Colin Cowherd are in a 3- way tie for second. On to the play, either way, heady play by Zeller... Willing
to tag himself in the stones for the good of the team. Hell, you give
me one Cody Zeller, one Victor Oladipo, one Yogi Ferrell, one Jordan Hulls, and a Christian Watford and I'll win
you a damn semi-state!

Re: What to Expect: Michigan State

Anyone know who the officials are for tonight's game?
