There's nothing selfish about not ever wanting children, and there's definitely nothing wrong or unnatural about not wanting children. We're not birthing machines meant to populate the world; we're simply human beings who just want to live our lives accordingly. Meanwhile (and I'm no manhater), there are so many men who get away with impregnating women and leaving them behind to liv their lives while the woman they inseminated is forced to bring a new life into the world and left held responsible for its growth. It's horrible enough governments in several states are are fighting for and passing laws to do the same thing.

I thank the original poster so much for this post, and thank you for leaving a comment!

Re: 24+Reasons+Tumblr+People+Are+The+Best%26nbsp%3BPeople

This lists proves why I've spent over 5 years of my life on Tumblr. So glad I stopped THAT in its tracks when the option first came about.

For ANYONE who has a Tumblr, and doesn't want any family looking through it (due to certain things that you know could raise eyebrows and questions), my suggestions would be to NOT link it to either your Facebook or Twitter accounts.

I do, however, like this list. At least you're looking out and care for your little sister. Wish my brother was the same way...

Re: 'The Avengers 2' Trailer Revealed: Bradley Cooper to Replace Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Iron Man? It's just as poisonous as the word "perfect," and celebrities are just as human as we are.

We also have to trust that, although young girls and women are influenced by celebrities, we have to trust that they'll make life decisions of their own, and remind them celebrities aren't the only people to look up to.

It's painful to see the decisions Rihanna makes, just as it is to watch Lindsay Lohan (who I continue to root for) sink further and further into a hole day by day, but they're adults, humans making dumb human decisions that many of us make. The average Jane's problems might not be as public, but they're similar. Plus, it's enough they have to deal with picking off paparazzi and press digging into their business every five seconds, so the last thing they need is to carry the extra weight of being held responsible for America's children. They're not babysitters.

Re: Daily Journal Of A Slacker • dailymeds: Shooting at an abandoned health club...

That's what I sometimes think. I don't see the big deal with Peter asking such a question, because as a whole, we shouldn't be afraid to explain why us women do the things we do. It shouldn't be a big secret to keep. Whether it's for money, sex, love, or simply a kind of father figure to keep in our lives, what should it matter? Men do the same thing, but if a woman talks about it, then she's bitter, lonely, vengeful, and sitting in the kitchen, eating ice cream or whatever comfort food is in front of her.

I'd have to say that hasty assumptions are to blame for men like Peter being the reason women around my age (I'm 22) date older men, which sucks because their are plenty of men around Peter's age or younger who are ten times more mature than, let's say, a 45-year-old man. People refuse to believe that there ARE men in their 40s and 50s (if not older) who run around and act like 15-year-olds, for crying out loud!!!!!
