If you could share a link with us to show us a blog that is being written and using it as a book. The reason I want to look at it is because I'm having a hard time seeing how the same content for a book can be easily slipped into 500 word blog posts. It seems they would read differently. I'd love to see an example.

Thanks for a great article. One of my lawfirm clients comes to mind. The legal business is an old standard industry. Sometimes it's hard to find what is the differentiator other thinking, "We're just better and smarter." But reading through your walk-through, they have decided to always answer the phone and return calls as fast as possible, very different from competitors. I'll definitely be looking for ways to incorporate that differentiator into their online marketing.

Re: Use Your Neighbors and Partners to Build Your List

This is a simple yet excellent idea. Yes, you need to be on consistently, but you don't have to spend your entire morning on social media. You have an entire business to keep running. Thankfully, it doesn't take hours of social media a day to keep up your online marketing strategies.

Re: 5 Timely Networking Tips

Here's a great way to combine online newtorking with offline networking. When you attend a networking event and receive business cards from people, go to Facebook and LinkedIn and see if they are on those networks. If they are, invite them to connect to you or be your friend. This allows you to follow up with them easily and grows your online network. The online networks are a great way to keep an informal record of your network.

Re: Is This The End of Prophecy?

" The shift toward a gestalt state where many minds are fuelled by a singular, bottomless well of information best available to those who know the currents in the well. The falling principle of enforceable influence such as mass media once controlled. All of these things, taken together with a growing acceptance of the cloud, makes for some really interesting change. Clay Shirky said something to the effect that things only get socially interesting once they’ve gotten technologically boring. Absolute truth."

Great observations. I heard this yesterday on a podcast I was listening to as well, the idea that things only get interesting socially once they get technically boring. Twitter is as easy as you can get to use, I mean the most basic, pu-up-140-characters-and-press-enter. I'm wondering what's coming next from Twitter users and their creative ways of using the medium.

As a sci-fi lover, you'll get this. My 13-year-old daughter has just discovered the original Star Wars movie. I was 13 when it hit movie theaters, so this is so cool for me. We're going to rent it and watch it on Christmas. Now if I could just get her interested in Planet of the Apes...

Re: Interview with Craig Newmark: How the Craigslist Meme Spread

Craigs list is one of those ideas that is so simple, yet so useful, you can't believe no one had thougt of it before. But still, as I have watched, especially in the early years, I was amazed at how it grew and grew. Watching Craigslist and Amazon.com was my introduction to the true strength that the internet might hold, the possibilities. I don't think I will ever tire of the new and innovative ways people interact, communicate and connect with the internet.

Re: Stock Photography and Journalism Ain’t What They Used to Be, and That’s Awesome!

I do not have a photography background, but by watching friends, I am amazed at how much your industry has changed. I know digital has turned it on its head. My friends yearn for the days of film when there was more challenge in capturing a good image.

What I've had most contact with is the change in distribution. The model of selling stock photography has gone through so man changes, I don't know how you keep up. I was amazed when I started seeing prescription sites where you don't pay per image, necessarily.

Change Change Change seems to be the name of the game.

Re: Unemployment and the Job Hunt - BuildMyCompany.com

At some of my networking activities, I've seen people who are looking for a new position.
