(It's the evening meal I used to call dinner before moving to the rural East coast where "dinner" is the noon meal. I find lunch & supper are less likely to be misunderstood.)

Because mornings are hectic & my husband works in the city at least 3 days each week, supper is the only meal that we can sit down at together and talk. Communication is the lifeblood of a marriage & we treasure that time.

Besides, meals are more about the company than the food, aren't they? And my husband is the best company I know!

Re: Taking Risks When It Comes To Love; Is It Always Worth It?

In the end, all we have that is important is our relationships with our loved ones. Is there anything that could possibly be too great a risk to preserve those? I don't think so.

Even if things don't work out as you thought, you've had love.

Re: What’s The Secret That Doesn’t Need To Be A Secret Anymore?

Dairy isn't as good for you as we we've been taught. To develop withing me the fruits of the spirit described at Galatians 5:22,23: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness & self-control.

Re: The Best Meal You Ever Ate Was…?

My mouth is watering just reading how much you love her food reviews. Haven't been able to find it anywhere else. I also loved the toutons & molasses at Velma's in the same city.
For a large crowd of friends, I love making the "South Pacific wedding meal". The combination of hot & cold, crispy & soft, sweet & savoury is fantastic - and different in every bite.

Re: What Activity Sets You Free?

Although it doesn't sound exciting, I set myself free through reading - particularly when I read fiction. It was a joint effort between French & Canadian film makers and won numerous awards.
Don't be fooled by the "animated" tag. It's rated PG-13 because it's a little dark in places, but you'll be singing along with the theme song by the time the end credits roll.
Watch for the cultural references that abound - for example the stage dancer who's a take on Josephine Baker, and the size of the people in America.
Both www.zip.ca & www.netflix.com carry it.

Re: What’s your favorite kitchen gadget?

Being able to open jar easily is GREAT. Half will be thrown into the basement where it will be stacked, ready to be fed into the furnace; half will be stacked on pallets not far from the basement window, then tarped for the winter.

After our friends make short work of the job, we're having chili & burgers (& beer!) Tomorrow, I WON'T wake up beside my best friend in the whole world, as I usually do, because he'll be on a plane coming back from a business trip to Newfoundland.

BUT when he gets here mid-morning, he's taking a day of vacation time and squiring me into Halifax to visit the Business to Business Expo, and then to New Minas to look at some VERY expensive furniture that I think I'd like to have in the future.

We'll be together THE WHOLE DAY. These times always remind me of our honeymoon.

Re: What is your favorite flower?
