Someone mentioned using Tineye, which is a FANTASTIC resource I must add. Anyway, usually the best way to find the original image is to click on "biggest image" since the smaller and crappier quality means the more often it's been copied. Tineye works by comparing pixels, meaning that if someone made even a few pixels different in the picture, it wouldn't show up on Tineye. I found what is likely to be the original, and, when zoomed in, it is very obvious the cars are photoshopped. There is no way this would have shown up on the search results had it been changed, thus we can conclude that this image is fictional. http://media.gamaniak.com/g...

Re: The Female Gaze - Via Sociological Images. After all, if a man had wanted to slap me around that would have been sexist, but a woman wanting to slap another woman around to "knock some sense into 'er" is okay of course. It's great that you realize that! Also, kudos for making your argument look ridiculous before you even got into your point. You sure know how to rock an Ad hominem 'argument'! I am unhappy with our society's view towards women being sex objects, therefore I must be "fat and ugly." Ah, well that completely negates my blog entirely.

Re: The Female Gaze - I saw this at a tattoo place where a friend was...

Obviously a joke, Jon? Then I'd be curious to hear what your idea of a joke is, and what's so funny about sexual harassment. For that matter, how would you feel if you were being sexually harassed? Would you laugh about it? From where I'm standing, I don't see why this is "obviously a joke." Do you mean that it's a joke in that they aren't actually going to sexually harass someone? If that's the case, then I'd love to know why it is that we've been brought up in a culture where the threat of sexual harassment can be used as a joke.

Re: The Female Gaze - This picture was found on AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com....

It looks like "it's lonely at the top, but at least you get to be with BOB"

Re: The Female Gaze - Via Sociological Images. I don't expect to change the world with this little tumblelog, nor do I aspire to write paragraphs of interpretation. As you would see from the first post, my intention with this blog is simply to provide these pictures and write something short and (hopefully) to the point. Sure, I would love to provide stronger interpretations and change the world, but considering the fact that changing the world by pointing out flaws isn't going to work, and considering that I'm not a Sociology major, I do not possess the knowledge to write strong critiques of these images from a sociological standpoint. Thank you both very much for your comments, though. Regardless of my intentions, I do admit that I have a way to go before providing incredibly strong content to the level of Sociological Images or something similar.
