What a beautiful cake, and happy birthday again, you little birthday hog. You know what we did for my 50th birthday? We stayed at Chateau Marmont in Hollywood (where John Belushi died) for two days and two parties, and then moved on to Casa Malibu by the sea to recooperate. From this day forth, I shall refer to it as my 50th Birthdayfest. Maybe we can adopt this term you've coined and make it a Story family word like "Cinco de Jullio." I'm looking forward to my birthdayfest this fall. Heads up, October 30 is approaching fast.

Dear Bridge, This little story just moved me to tears. It made me feel homesick and inspired at the same time. It made me miss you and your mom and dad and Montana. It made me want to see your house on Liberty Street. Do you have any pictures? Also, I never cease to be amazed at you writing ability. Well, having been part of those wild years beneath Old Emigrant, I can testify to the fact that they were wild, and wonderful.
