The guy happily goes on record every few months talking about how he wants to wipe Israel off the planet and we think that "talking" to him will change his mind?

Dictators don't care about people, they only care about power. I carried when I was in school and I now carry when I go to work ( I am a trader at an investment firm). I have never had an negligent discharge. Nor have I had a time when someone saw my gun and freaked out. A concealed carry permit pretty much mandates that you have your weapon concealed unless you feel like you have a reason to pull it out. Its not like you are at school pulling your trigger instead of text messaging.

As far as answering the question would people with concealed carry permits stop a crazed gunman, suicide bomber, or any other general psycho is concerned we haven't had many instances in the US where it was legal to carry concealed. Virginia Tech is a supposed "Gun Free Zone" but that obviously didn't deter the whackjob there. NJ is one of the most restrictive states in the union in regards to 2nd Amendment rights so you are always at the mercy of the criminal/crazy. So would allowing guns on campus stop the nutjob? We don't know but we do know what happens when you have no means to defend yourself. You get shot, stabbed, beaten down, raped, or even blown up. Not much of an option to me.

Lindsay honey (you're like a gazillion times better than the supposed "money honey") if you are ever out west in Utah, Wyoming, Montana, or other surrounding states feel free to e-mail me and I will be more than happy to take you shooting. If you are headed down to Arizona anytime to visit Howard I can get you set up with some people down there to take you shooting. After going shooting most people realize that as with most things the more you learn about something the less you fear it. It might be cliche but it's true "Guns don't kill people, people kill people."

-Dave
