The example was actually incorporated into Machina's examples, so you can find it in the Machina.js repo itself/. Again, I apologize for the very late reply.

Re: About Doug

Thank you so much for the kind words! I do have a suggestion for sure. When I was first trying to learn the program, it took several (many!) attempts before I started to get the hang of it. I took a complex, but small, woodworking project (The Monopoly Banker's station) and kept modeling it Fusion. My end goal was a fully parameterized model I could change different dimensions and it would scale appropriately without visually breaking. I want to say it took 3 or 4 attempts (Starting from scratch each time). I think in each case I ended with a model that worked at the original dimension, but the real test of "Am I using this right?" is being able to change values later and everything updates. So maybe you can find something like that for you that you can try a few times. I also watched some tutorials and read through certain parts of the Fusion 360 documentation page by page on their website (They have little videos for some of the tools if I recall correctly)

Also, totally cool about the CNC. That looks like a very fun tool to use. Have a great day!

Re: Card & Photo Display Stand

Awesome @Ashley Grenon! I love how little wood they use, but how useful and pretty they turn out. I'm thinking about picking up some exotics to make some to sell. I'll look forward to seeing pics on IG! Will be neat to see your take on them!

Re: About Doug

Hi Danielle and Steve! I'd love to see the knife, it sounds really beautiful! You can zip me an email at doug@dougneiner.com with the photo. Thanks for taking the time to reach out!

Re: Block Printed Shirts | DN Handcrafted

Thats a great success story! I need to just order some of the screen and some of the supplies and give it a shot. You can achieve a lot of detail with screen printing. Did you ever try any two toned prints? That seems like that would really benefit from a DIY screen alignment rig. Thanks for commenting! (Tell Elijah hi for me!)

Re: About Doug

@John Hall I'm thrilled that you have enjoyed my videos! Its one thing for folks to watch it, but another when its friends and family and they enjoy it! Elijah is so much fun to work with, and is so encouraging. I really appreciate your kind words about the details in the videos. I enjoy that part as much as the woodworking itself, haha.

Thats great that you made a cutting board with that cherry. I think cherry is a beautiful wood, and is one of my favorites. I'd love to see a picture of your projects, so feel free to post them!

I continued working on my next video today – it is a two toned desk paper tray! I'm using a scrap of specialty wood I got from the offcuts bin at Woodcraft for the dark wood. Need to identify it, but its some sort of curly wood – the grain is really neat.

Thanks again for taking time to comment and share your thoughts!

Re: Hickory Mallet

Thanks Greg! I traced my logo (I have a small stencil) onto the handle - I'm trying to remember exactly the technique, but I think I cut in using an angled chisel from two angles to get the V groove. Don't remember if I used my V gouge at all or not.

Re: Quarto Board Game

Oh interesting! I hadnt considered the idea of moving your piece after you place it but before you give the opponent a piece. We play like you did, once your hand is off the piece is played.

Re: Quarto Board Game

Woah! Awesome Dale! I love the pull string and bead choice on the bags, and the sets turned out awesome! Hope you sell all four! Will you be playing games with folks to help them understand what a fun game it is?

Re: Quarto Board Game

Hey Dale! I made several bags, but the ones I gave away as gifts were a better size than the one I kept. Each piece of fabric should be a little bigger than 6.5" across (since one set of four is 4" across and 1" tall when laying down) and 8 or 9" tall to accommodate the draw string. I stack the 8 tall in the bottom then the 8 short on top of them. It depends on how much play you want or if you want them to be snug. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you!

Re: Quarto Board Game

Wowzers @Dale Boyer ! I love how you handled the "round' pieces by giving them a different marking. Thats a safe and great looking alternative to the dowel making. The trick you did with painting before sanding is something I wanted to try on a few of the boards, but never got up the nerve to try it. I even had an idea of making the pieces looked "dipped" in a bright color glossy paint that would match the indentations on the board.

Regardless, yours turned out quite well… and watch out, it won't take long for your wife to start beating you at the game. I lose to my kids from time to time if I'm not 100% zeroed in on the game!

Thank you so much for sharing with me – Are you on Facebook? I'd love it if you shared this on my https://www.facebook.com/dn... page so I can share it out there to let folks see it.

Re: Make a Banker’s Station

Thats great @Gordon Morton! I hope it calms down and you can get in the shop. Few things are as frustrating as having the time to get into the shop – but having an illness or ailment keep you from it!

More straight forward plans like his are awesome for people wanting to get into woodworking, or wanting to build a quick game with the family (and obviously, it prompted me to build one!). I just like challenging myself to try new techniques, different joinery, not using screws, etc (its different for each project) – and I am in love with working with hardwoods and clear finishes, which helps dress it up as well. Thanks for noticing the details!

Re: Table à Elastique

@Dale Boyer Thank you so much for the kind words. I especially appreciate them coming from someone trained the field. I'm glad you mentioned the narration and camera switching as I will be recording the intro/outro for my next video soon (maybe tonight). I liked having the talking portion in the middle of my first video, but I didn't get a shot like that in my Banker's Station build. I think I know the part I can record for the middle of this next one - thanks for the reminder!

Re: Table à Elastique

@Dale Boyer I'm so embarrassed! Apparently I have email notifications configured improperly for Disqus, and never saw this comment come through! I adapted my design from the plans from Rogue Engineer: http://rogueengineer.com/di... That link has the dimensions I used, though I did a few enhancements like dado and rabbit to join the frame (and I pinned the frame with brass rod). Again, I am so sorry for the delay in my response.

Re: Next Stage For Mockjax

I still want to contribute, so count me in :) Glad you are going to carry this forward.

Re: Joining the Team at LeanKit

Thanks Andrée!

Re: Joining the Team at LeanKit

Thanks Joel!

Re: Joining the Team at LeanKit

So.
