I am sure they will release a toxicology report because of his past experience with addiction. But for that reason, I was sincerely surprised that this was his method, when pills would have been the obvious choice. I am so sad for him, for his thought process to bring him to that final conclusion.

Beautifully said, Aaron, and thank you for your comment to mine as well. You are right, of course, that the most creative people also have been the most depressed - and the ones that never manage to show that creativity to the world are perhaps the saddest cases to me. Robin was able to - but so many others are not.

If you substituted food for drugs, your post would be my post. I deal with this shitty, spirit-crushing disease and have for years. You're right, I do feel as if I've lost a personal friend, and it is heartbreaking to think that he felt that that was his only option. If you look at Robin's photos, you can see it in his eyes. You can see the pain. I'll miss him terribly.

Amen! They only produce what they make money on. The way they make money is to shovel commercials during piece of crap shows like this. The more viewers, the more money they make. Why wouldn't they continue to make crap?

I remember when TLC meant The Learning Channel too; only now I've learned not to watch anything on it. EVER. I DO vote with my remote.

Oh Danielle, my 9 yr old daughter has done this to me a couple of times. We live in a nice, quiet - TOO QUIET - cul-de-sac, and she's gone to "her" tree, or back behind our trees in the back yard - but it doesn't matter - she's just GONE - and suddenly, I'm John on America's Most Wanted because my child is GONE. I do NOT let her outside to play alone - because it only takes that one second. When I'm in the kitchen, doing my school work, tending to her brother, or any one of a dozen other things I do at any moment in time. It's that second that it takes for her 50 lb frame to be shoved into a car - that's too much for me to handle. SO I GET IT.

I've used medicated powder (like Goldbond) on mine, and it works very well. Just put it on multiple times a day.

fwiw, I've attended Twitter parties. I am not big on them because - EVERYONE - is trying to get seen/heard at once and it's just a jumble. However, I'm commenting because I just thought your article was funny and made me laugh (degenerate alcoholic!). But yeah, Twitter parties for all kinds of stuff have been happening for years now. yes, and then made to feel like a bitch for even THINKING about that, with everyone who was killed. But honestly, WHY were children let into a theater showing a PG-13 movie in the first place? I'm really at a loss - and that 6 year old little girl who died- shouldn't have.
