Isn't it absurd that one can't trade on NASDAQ during the night or on weekends? Do the computers sleep or they need to take days off?

Every system that isn't ready to embrace full digitization, even leaving Blockchain out of the picture, is going to fade away.

The concept of digital cryptographic tokens is evolving rapidly. What they mean from the accounting, equity, governance point of view, but also what is the set of best practices as business models evolve to take them into consideration. Is the stakeholder group of those who buy them merely for the expectation of the token value increasing in time deserve the same attention of those who actively participate in the network that the token enables through the applications released?

The speed of change makes it hard to not only be fully informed, but to make decisions that are aligned with the most advanced practices in the field.

At the same time tokens are here to stay. Not only driven by the enthusiasm of speculators, but through the genuine advantages they represent in being able to measure and quantify the value of things that were unmeasurable before, or quantified at a much more coarse level, and consequently creating entirely new markets, expanding the economy.

Sì, Milano è raggiungibile anche dal sud. A mio avviso vivere al sud non è una sfortuna.

Grazie del tuo commento e delle tue domande. Milano certamente non è il centro di tutto. Roma è il centro della politica italiana e sede del governo. Roma è il centro mondiale della religione religione cattolica, una delle più diffuse fedi. Roma è una città importantissima dal punto di vista artistico e architettonico, dove sono presenti tantissimi monumenti dell'epoca romana, medioevale e rinascimentale.

Milano è il centro italiano della tecnologia e dell'imprenditoria. Ci sono collegamenti aerei e di treno a nostro avviso sufficienti per raggiungerla da tutta Italia.

Lo strumento delle petizioni a mio avviso è appropriato per richieste molto specifiche dove una singola decisione può fare la differenza. Qui invece stiamo parlando dell'apertura mentale di un'industria e dei regolatori che non può essere imposta.

L'attività di approfondimento, educazione e divulgazione è lunga e faticosa ma non ammette scorciatoie.

Rimango ottimista che, anche se non sarà necessariamente di avanguardia, la società e l'industria italiane saranno in grado di cogliere rapidamente i vantaggi di queste tecnologie.

Il first mover advantage è sopravvalutato. Il timing è più importante. Google non era il primo motore di ricerca, Facebook il primo social network, iPod il primo riproduttore musicale, iPhone il primo smartphone.

To call the post "What is the happiest language/gentilic/demonyn" would have sounded less effective than the imperfect, but clearer one we chose. Al momento in ogni caso non ci sembrano essere alternative sostenibili al modello commerciale di pubblicità e sponsorizzazione. Gli inserzionisti devono imparare ad usare al meglio la tecnologia per ingaggiare conversazioni utili e rilevanti con potenziali clienti. Alcuni recenti prodotti e acquisizioni di Microsoft sembrano puntare nella giusta direzione.

Naturalmente hai ragione. Diciamo che se la ricerca avesse avuto esito positivo, anche in quel caso il mio messaggio di fondo sarebbe stato valido: troppo poche persone verificano, persino tra i giornalisti, le notizie che vengono allegramente riportate. Andare a fondo alla notizia non è perché si vuole che questa sia falsa o vera, ma perché fa parte delle necessità di un mondo iperconnesso poter effettuare verifiche veloci ma importanti.

Talking with Amal Graafstra of Dangerous Things, he pointed out that in the case of pacemakers, the known factor of the battery needing to be replaced represents a reliable moment in time which everybody accepts, and it allows the device to be better controlled than other equally vital parts breaking in an uncontrolled fashion. Since I was also referring to remote charging (in this case we were talking about the NFC implant I have) this implication was novel and interesting to me.

There is also a strong technological basis for the emerging separatist movements. From energy via photovoltaics, to education with online learning, and most recently in finance through Bitcoin, new networked decentralized and distributed systems are changing the topology of our social relationships. The hierarchical centralized nation state is under pressure to adapt, but its bureaucracies and political systems have little change of letting it do so at a degree it should.

Nessuna piattaforma è fuori dalla legge, quindi, sì, la denuncia è la cosa giusta. In ogni caso si stanno progettando anche sistemi distribuiti dove la solvibilità dell'azienda sia possibile dimostrarla algoritmicamente.

Chi promuove Bitcoin non lo fa solo perché elettronico, ma perché esce dagli schemi e convenzioni e controlli del sistema monetario tradizionale. Globale, gratuito, accessibile a tutti, Bitcoin rappresenta una potenziale rivoluzione che va oltre alla comodità.

L'oro è stato usato per migliaia di anni come base per la moneta. Diamo alle valute algoritmiche qualche decennio almeno! La fungibilità arriva con la diffusione di internet che per me già oggi è più fondamentale dell'oro. Quando tutti e 7-9 miliardi di persone accederanno a internet quotidianamente, questa sarà presa per naturale e garantita.

The speed of our psychological adaptation to the reputation economy developing rapidly from the current state of imperfect proxy that pre-digital currency represents is going to matter in the turbulent transition times. The arriving point of 7 billion currencies, endowing each individual with her tradable, securitized dynamic reputation asset base will allow a much richer expression of needs, wants, and opportunities for individual, collective, and global action.
