My thought is they probably have something better coming (or already getting them the same result).

Re: Enough with the mic pics: They’re missing the point

Well said! Not only are they cliche, but they're to ubiquitous that people are ignoring them. I have used the RE20 for years, am looking at getting a new podcast mic, and am considering RE320 and BP40 (AT). This is leaning me toward the 320.

Re: How to Repurpose Your Blog Content Like a Machine (+ Reader Challenge!)

Good info. Enjoying seeing the different ways people are using similar content.

I repurpose blog content (and also "big ideas" that I write about in various places) on http://www.redpodcast.com/ all the time. If nothing else, it helps you to get clear on the messages you are spreading. Then the ideas that stick make their ways into more longterm content, such as books.

Re: How to Shrink Your Podcast RSS Feed and Why It Matters – TAP269

Great info. Had worked on this when my feed got so large all my episodes weren't coming through and was still able to find some things I hadn't done. Wasn't aware of the Feed Maximizer. I wouldn't write it off entirely, but given my (infrequent) needs for this type of setup, I'll likely go for something a bit more basic that simply gets the job done.

Re: How to AVOID Mistakes in Your Podcast – TAP262

Absolutely. Would get off track and miss a lot without a good outline.

When I first started doing solo episodes (was working with a co-host previously), I did a few scripted episodes, but I'm not skilled enough at reading (or maybe writing) and it didn't sound natural.

Re: How to AVOID Mistakes in Your Podcast – TAP262

Orlando, I have done similar things when recording audio books. Stop when I make a mistake, go back, and rerecord. But I think what has helped me to it successfully is that I have a producer/engineer who can handle that for me.

I do something similar now with podcasts, although I simply start over, leaving the bad takes, and remove them in the edit. Because my podcast isn't scripted, I've found this to be helpful for keeping the feel and focus going.

Re: How to AVOID Mistakes in Your Podcast – TAP262

Brilliant. Love the simplicity of this. Way too many podcasters try to make their podcasts better by ADDING something when they'd be better off by focusing on the fundamentals.

Re: Reduce the Plosives in Podcasting

Love the hoop/hose trick.
