WHY do I have the same weight on my chest as if I just read a loved one's obituary? I'm so confused and upset right now. It's not the writer's fault... you can tell by the content that he didn't have much to work with, but damn this sucks.

I'm parked on a grass spot between the sidewalk and the street tonight, because my building owner sucks and started the seismic retrofit without notice that our parking would be impacted in koreatown. Luckily I'm completey on the patch of grass and not on the sidewalk at all, but my biggest concern is basically a dog taking a piss on my car tonight. That, or other vandalism/MS13 graffiti. :(

True, but if he wasn't actively using the hatchet, and they were able to apprehend him with non-lethal force, he could be in handcuffs right now ... Also not endangering innocent civilians.

The bean bag guns seem pretty powerful... Boston Police accidentally killed a woman with a shot to the face -- they couldn't have shot him in the hands/arms with one? Obviously he was going nuts and causing chaos, but if the cops were on the other side of their cars, what's the hatchet gonna do? If he was aiming to throw it at them, fine, shoot. But if he was just climbing out of the SUV with it, they could have let it play out a little more before making a fatal decision.
