Plenty of room there, clean, quiet, huge spaces, great grounds, etc. There is an active special needs school on campus and several others non-profits as well, so neighbors (we all have them). Without transportation to-from town, this is not quite optimal (or does a bus run there?). Plus, what if Austine get's sold? Temporary measure but great idea keep up the great work Mr. Davis. FYI, love tiny homes, let's build a few dozen!

Re: What Would a Truly 3D Operating System Look Like?

Dave Small at the MIT Media Lab worked on similar concepts almost 20 years ago. Then Mike McCue and Paper Software did some VRML-based desktops if I remember correctly. Interesting to see these ideas resurface in context of Leap Motion. I think eye tracking will be the preferred input device though, waving hands around gets tiring quickly, at least for me (and I love my Leap).

Re: Does Vermont's Image Need a Facelift?

We're known as the heroin state now, so the rebranding is done already, sigh. Moving a business to VT is different from starting one here. In Brattleboro we are starting a coworking space at http://www.coworkingplus.net. There are so many orgs willing to help us launch and accelerate startups in southern Vermont, which is great to see and we're running fast with a lot of help. However, the bandwidth here is slow for the most part, and don't get me started on cell phone coverage. Without copious amounts of both, little is going to change no matter how many discussions we have about changing things around here.

Re: PopCap Games co-founder emerges with virtual reality startup Pluto VR

As a founding member of the Boston Computer Society Virtual Reality Group circa 1992, I love to see the renewed interest in VR. Vote no for long-term sponsors, especially law firms zzz. $5 freemium upgrade similar to Reddit Gold with extra features. You are in an awkward area, rephrasing blog posts. Position as our Google Reader replacement for tech stuff. Re-think what and how you present other people's news. You are saving time but not really adding much value. Otherwise Techmeme is still looking great and they don't even bother synopsizing content.
