...and there you have it -- a (possible) link with pre-1905 football greatness, and a sense of humor/proportion about himself and about the concept of greatness in football.

Now if he'd just start focusing more on the no-huddle aspect of his offense, we could start calling him "Hurry Up Yost II"...

OK, I'll bite -- if they're deployed on the territory of NATO Allies, what's the target? Russia? So sorry, no way you can get 28 votes around the table in Brussels to nuke Russia...and no consensus means no action at NATO, as you surely know.

Iran? So sorry, Turkey vetoes that one. B61s in Europe are currently as militarily and politically useless as tits on the proverbial bull -- so you pop $10+ billion to give them JDAM-like accuracy, removing the military problem -- they are STILL politically useless weapons.

Chris: My only add would be (big surprise here) Football Defense of the Future: The 2-Level Model, by John M. Thompson and (nominally) Bill Arnsparger. The most scholarly work I've ever seen on American football, and I've seen a few.

Oh, and also -- Winning Single Wing Football by the late Dr. Kenneth Keuffel. As fine a book on offensive football as you'll ever see, regardless of the system you use (from my Amazon review):
