I also had this problem with a disk image that I had created. The image got corrupted when a power glitch rebooted my system while the image was mounted. I was able to attach it via "hdiutil attach -noverify -nomount ....", then used a quick scan with Data Rescue. It copied everything out of the image to a different drive. I used an old version of Data Rescue (version 3), have no idea if a newer one would work, but no reason to think it wouldn't.

Lesson learned - disk images may make things easy to organize, but one small glitch and you can lose a lot of data.

Damn, Artie, your intro to Yes almost mirrors my own exactly. Also about 12 years old, my intro was Asia's first album. At the time had I no idea what other band Steve Howe was in. Maybe a month after I got that album, someone gave me Yessongs, and that album that literally ruined all music for years...Everything else sounded boring. Fortunately I got over that after a while and was willing to listen to other stuff. My "obvious" inclusion to your list would be Starship Trooper, simply for the instrumental section at the end (Wurm). What Howe does is sublime, but Chris Squire's bassline (and tone) underneath it is just deliciously nasty.

The only thing that sucks about a new Pink Floyd album is hearing the "It's not Pink Floyd without Waters" argument that was stupid and boring 25 FUCKING YEARS AGO.

Pretty good news, glad to see VEVC is still continuing. Hopefully their new ideas will yield some fun and unique stuff. From my point of view, this is great - bands can sign traditional record deals with any number of other labels, but there are only a few labels who focus on smaller-run projects (AmRep, for example).
