Alzo may be the solution!

Re: Impact Octacool-9 Light Kit Review

Hi Caleb,
I am purchasing my first light kit, and I have learned a lot so far from your videos on YouTube. I plan on shooting mostly indoor interviews/podcasts (on my iPhone 5s for now just to get started).

I am looking for a light kit that will be budget-friendly and good for beginners, but will continue to be useful down the road. I would rather invest a little more money and research now than to buy a cheap kit on Amazon for $160 and just end up throwing it away when replacing it later.

The Impact Octacool lights are within my price range and seem to be a good value. The setup below will run me about $750 shipped from B&H. Does this setup sound like a good way to go or is there something better in my price range?

1x Impact Octacool 9 for main key light
2x Impact Octacool 6 for fill and hair light (planning to remove soft box for more dramatic hair light)
2x Impact heavy duty 9.5' air cushioned light stands (comes with the Octacool 6 kit, will be used for key light and fill light)
1x Impact Turtle Base 10.75' C-stand kit with 40" extension arm (purchased separately, will be used for hair light)

If you have any suggestions or if I am missing anything please let me know, this will be my first lighting purchase. Thanks so much and I appreciate all the great content you provide Caleb!

Re: Okay, I’ll Show You my financials.

You are legit Andrew Warner!
