This photo is confusing given that the article talks about people protesting same-sex marriage. Mouseover text says it's an AFP photo of pro-LGBT protesters in Toulouse, and one of the signs says that something is not the privilege of the heteros...

I'm saddened that Ms. Reeve has no empathy for the American electorate, especially after Citizens United allowed far more election advertising than ever before. What else should we do? We, the electorate, should get better informed so that we don't need a flock of fact checkers swooping in after every statement made by one of the two main candidates, and so we remain aware that there are more than two candidates and more than two issues at stake in this election. We, the media, should take up the task of properly educating the electorate instead of seizing on every small thing one of the two main candidates says and obsessing over every percentage point. Sure, I'm biting my nails on whether Obama is reelected; I'm also worried about some state and local issues that could have just as large an effect on my life.

What they chant instead of "We will, we will rock you" is "Wie wo was weisst Obi", which is Obi's slogan meaning, "How, where, what -- that's what Obi knows".

Oh, sorry! They're not materially different. Philosopher's Stone is the original UK release, and Sorcerer's Stone is the US release with some small British slang changes. This is the case in all the UK/US releases... I was pissed at first, because I'm fluent in British English, but slowly I had to admit that nobody really knows what a "berk" is, and when a Brit gives someone a "pot plant" it's downright distracting. (That's what they call a "potted plant")
