It seems that the new animal should be able to spawn faster that develop with the understanding the older animals will die and be replaced by the new structures. Additionally, the older animals are nurturing even though they recognize their mortality. Though I'm thinking about this problem through the lens of evolution & human development so it may be incorrect to institutional development.

Re: Easy CLI JSON Formatting

Check out httpie: https://github.com/jkbr/httpie (written in Python).

Re: What should a site do when you try to access a page that doesn't exist? | Please Listen Carefully

Interestingly none of those 404s work as you suggest.

Re: PalmPre vs. iPhone vs. WinMo vs. Android vs. BlackBerry – Fight!

There's an error in your post, they are talking about Javascript which is completely different than Java. Actually Javascript is the language used by most online apps like Google Docs, Maps, GMail, and others.

Javascript is just starting to get better development tools and debugging platforms. Since it's used so widely, I think writing applications will be a piece of cake. You can, however, also write Javascript apps using Java with Google GWT tool or Python, Perl, etc. with similar tools. Yet, at the end of the day, Java is very different than Javascript.

See: http://www.woodger.ca/jvjs.htm

Re: danieltenner.com — How to get a merchant account

Has anyone here tried Amazon's payment method: http://aws.amazon.com/fps/. Seems like it's mostly for their cloud supported applications but still a solution to evaluate. If you're a startup you should definitely outsource the credit card process to someone else. It gets very difficult to DIY and it's a resource blackhole once you get involved.

Re: The Curse of the Worst Acceptable Solution

I didn't know about "smart" stereos trying to flip the tape, that's interesting.

Re: The Curse of the Worst Acceptable Solution

Why didn't you just use a tape adapter?
