My husband was often called Mr. Mom when he was the stay-at-home parent for our son 20-some years ago.

One time when I was out of town on business he took our infant son out to a restaurant. All of the waitresses were tripping over themselves to help out the sweet father with the baby. (Uh, this never happened to the Mother out alone with the baby). Anyway, one of them gushed about how great it was that he was "babysitting".

My husband spat out, incredulously, "Babysitting?!! He's my son. I'm raising the damn kid! How could I possibly be baby-sitting my own child!!!??"

That's my Sweetie of 25+ years. Don't you just love him?
