I wasn't there, so forgive me if this has already been asked and answered. WHY WAS A POLITICO EDITOR MODERATING THIS PANEL? If you are a reader of Politico's health site, it's obvious that they are not focused on elevating the patient voice. Their health editors are mostly policy wonks. Not even a mention of patient in any of their bios let alone, gasp, having a patient editor or consultant!

http://www.politico.com/sta...
http://www.politico.com/sta...
http://www.politico.com/sta...
http://www.politico.com/sta...
http://www.politico.com/sta...
http://www.politico.com/sta...
http://www.politico.com/sta...
http://www.politico.com/sta...

I second the concerns of others asking where is MedX headed? I hope they become more transparent about why these choices were made.

Re: CLL 101 / Share Your Story

When I was going through cancer treatment in 2010, I didn't have the wherewithal to do much of anything. Thanks to my family who really stepped in and helped manage my healthcare team. My number one tip is to learn as much as you can about your condition. Do this by keeping a notebook (digital or physical) where you store everything you learn. Also, ask for a copy of your health records at each visit because you'll need them as you see different doctors. Don't assume that all your doctors are talking to each other. Usually they're too busy and unless you make sure those conversations are happening, you can't assume they are.

Re: CLL 101 / Discuss: What did you find most interesting or useful about Class 1?

I especially love hearing from people who are living and thriving with a CLL diagnosis. Thanks to Carol for offering the patient perspective. We have more patient perspectives coming up in future week classes, too!

Re: CLL 101 / Introduce yourself

Hi everyone,
I'm Darla. Would have been good for you to include that in the article.

Re: Cosmo, RIP

Jonah, I'm so sorry to hear this. Further, you could stumble by topic - scientists meeting scientists, engineers meeting engineers, writers meeting writers, etc. It's a good idea and will evolve over time.

Re: A Review: WordPress iPhone App

Thanks for your post. Maybe you should do another post on it and NOT correct errors you make with the iPhone keyboard (or are you not like me and can actually type without typos on it?).
