Rats are definitely the coolest of the little pets. Everyone I've known who's had a gerbil or hamster have been bitten by them, or the little things end up savaging and killing each other. Two friends have owned dwarf hamsters and on both occasions one hamster ate the other.

Well, the drawer (i've actually edited the post and corrected it now) is part of my bed and I had almost forgot it was there. I didn't know there was anything in it.

I noticed he only mentioned baby killers and child molesting homosexuals. Does that mean if you molest a child that is of the opposite sex and don't kill it, he's gonna be okay with that? He also says ankle biters make him sick, but that means babies right? Unless that expression has a different meaning in the states?

You only need to see the opening of Twin Towers to see that Gandalf is bad ass. He battles a balrog, an ancient demi-god made of fire, while in free fall! The guy is extreme! He should be the focus of a pepsi max marketing campaign for that.

I've heard writer Grant Morrison talk about this before as well, so I guess he's read the same book. He said something in our brains evolved and changed since then, linking both halves of the brain up so that both sides function as one. Rather than one side passing messages to the other in a way that led them to believe they were hearing voices in their head. When I think of people suffering from mental illnesses who hear voices in their head it doesn't sound quite so far fetched.

It sounds like an interesting book, I might check it out.

Shark in Venice. I haven't seen it but the tagline on the front of the DVD box says 'Welcome to the perfect tourist trap' and the blurb on the back of the DVD had me laughing for days:

The seemingly tranquil waterways of Venice are terrorized by the perfect killing machine. In search of his father who has mysteriously disappeared diving in the city, David stumbles across the cryptic trail leading to the long-lost fortune of the Medici. Woah. A friend of my dad's used to keep telling me about this idea for a film he had (because I'm an aspiring script writer) called 'Murdered mattress' and it was basically this film... Guess he ripped it off, coz no 2 people could come up with an idea this bad by coincidence.

A big freezer is also good for a hangover. When I was 17 I worked in a McDonalds doing the breakfast shift from 6am. If I ever went in hungover I would let myself in to the big walk-in freezer and stand there for a few minutes and it made me feel so much better.

The UK feels like it's been plunged into a new ice age, but I always moan about the cold more than most everyone else.

I saw Pumpkins on the last tour before they broke after Machina, and for some reason they were playing most of the songs at almost double speed.It worked for some tunes but not so well on others.

I haven't read any reviews for this tour yet but I hope they give a good performance when you go.

It reminds me of a couple of pet chinchillas I had years ago. We got the 2nd one as a friend for the first, but the first one didn't like sharing his cage with someone else and started beating on him. After a while though the newer one turned the tables just like the rabbit and raped his ass a few times. After that everything changed, they stopped fighting and just shagged each other all the time.
