Surprised you haven’t mentioned the YMCA. It’s pretty ubiquitous in the US and Canada, and easygoing with honouring memberships from other jurisdictions.

Generally, if you ask nicely, they let you work out for the cost of a members guest pass, or a free day, just because it’s a nice community-health-focused organization.

The Y tends to have great weight rooms and gyms to shoot hoops. Some of the ones I’ve been to also have indoor running tracks.

Thanks for the summary, good read. Can’t blame Kidd for the lack of ball in Po’s hands in those final possessions. Casey rotated Anunoby off and (possessed) Kyle Lowry onto Giannis, which changed the dynamic of all those inbound plays.

Unfortunately, the Capital One Aspire World Elite has been discontinued by Capital One in Canada as of November 2017.

And the issuer of BMO Word Elite is making changes that will make travel rewards a bit less competitive (140 points = $1, vs. the current 100 = $1) but increasing the earn rate to 3 points per $1 earned.

Agreed, Ross can really do some damage for Orlando if the coaching staff let him. He had no chance ever blossoming playing behind DeRozan, who is Toronto's main man. If you're ever frustrated with Terry, just remember that beautiful monster dunk on Faried.

Before you start assuming it's race, take a look at other factors .. primarily urbanity. The Raptors have very successfully both marketed to the urban crowd in the GTA and elsewhere. As the face of Canada's cities changes, so does Raptors fandom. There happens to be a particularly vocal and visible South Asian community in the mega-fan group .. I think that's a side point, and I guess the focus of this article.

That's a bit hockey-centric @damorris . I was in Montreal for the Raptors pre-season. That team is loved in Montreal, and definitely carries the maple leaf like a chip on it's shoulder. I think the same was true in Vancouver.

As much as I adore watching guys like JJ dunk on Drummond, I've seen him get the ball stolen faking point guard ... 4 or 5 times in the last few months? That sort of decision making is probably what underlies Casey's lack of minutes. I don't think anyone would say it's a lack of skill .. perhaps a lack of predictability.

I understand the rough minute breakdown, with the exception of playing DD 40 minutes. No need for that. JJ can easily step into that role if required. Like someone mentioned, JJ v Pierce may have written a slightly different story last year.

Exactly. They treated the license an investment, rather than a fixed cost. I imagine a next move could be issuing a few thousand "secondary licenses" or whatever to Uber drivers, and bring down the value of the regular licenses.

Yeah ... as a Pole I have absolutely no clue how this is supposed to rustle my vote. Poland, and especially it's 18-45 year olds, are in a quiet reconciliation process with our communist past right now, and I'm not sure a stand by Ottawa is all that necessary.

Not really a #duh .. BBM is encrypted end to end / not wire-tappable (if your org is running your own server/BES rather than relying on the public infrastructure) .. and you can definitely access all of your own messages, logs, etc.
