I used a cli.gs link http://cli.gs/sccm so I could track traffic to the link.

People were really responsive and helpful to our cause to save a very special and unique school which provides blind and visually impaired children music education with a full braille curriculum (the only school of it's kind in North America).

Our requested donation of $25.00 is a small investment and we provide links to student performances which really speak for themselves.

It's offensive that we have to beg for money to save the only music school for blind kids which provides braille music and GM, AIG etc etc etc get bailouts.

Re: I’m really bad at commenting

I too am completely guilty of this. I can really relate to feeling shy or being fearful of controversy, of not feeling ready to expose or even express. I guess my new mantra will be the Emerson quote "Do the thing and you shall have the power." Jump in and do it and with time it will become more natural, more conversational and what a treat for those who do put time into writing posts with thought and care.

Thank you for the post. Your share embolded me to share! Cheers!

Re: I’m really bad at commenting

I have been thinking about why commenting is so powerful and I couldn't stop thinking about a bit in a movie I saw. Fortunately the very clip of the movie is on YouTube (YAY YouTube)

Here is the piece: http://www.youtube.com/watc...

It's what we life for.

Re: Ping.fm / Uploaded Image from Darin R. That is for finding our community and conversation.

But then add on what we now call "Twitter Gifting" so when you find something that those people will especially enjoy you @ them and share. Showing you listened to their stream, maybe even read their profile and found something they would find interesting.

People are so startled when you care, makes it kind of easy.

Re: Words to avoid on twitter unless you like spam

Sandal and the word fetish brings lots of interesting spam. Me? Never? YES! I am plagued with them. Instead of thinking in terms of an eight hour day which will just frustrate me I think in time chunks. I also take into consideration the task and what is required in terms of concentration. For example, in the morning between 4-6 am is my quiet time. I use this time to focus on activities that take my full attention. Writing, problem solving, learning new skills is for time when I can concentrate. Items that are more rote like billing, running reports, I save for times when the house has more noise in it.

One thing that has changed (probably forever) is that I rarely have a chance to do things at the time of inspiration so having a small notebook to capture inspiration at the moment so I can act on it at a later time.

Re:
