I remember when Steve Buscemi and Vince Vaughn were in town. They got into a scuffle with locals when Vaughn tried to hit on someone's girlfriends, and it ended up with Steve Buscemi getting stabbed in the head (not fatally of course).

Kevin Conroy is my ideal Batman voice actor, like Tim Daly for Superman, but Bruce Greenwood did a solid job. Crisis on Two Earths is less a Batman story than a JLA one, and Batman seeing what he could become. Dwayne Duffie's Batman characterization in the JLA show was fantastic. I loved his romance with Wonder Woman. I'm interested to see how Batman is in Public Enemies and The Supergirl movie. I was really surprised how intense Under The Red Hood was. It really summed up how much guilt Batman carries over losing Jason Todd to the Joker.

I loved Snyder's previous films, but 'Sucker Punch' is nothing but a few gorgeous, slick and stylish action sequences connected by such a paper thin plot. There are no actual characters in this film, and there's a rapey vibe hanging over the entire film, it's very unsettling. As much as Snyder as billing this as a female empowerment movie, it's not. This film is 'Inception' for people who love Maxim.

"Raditude" was a great album and i think a lot of people over looked that. And there last few before that were for the most part better than a lot of other artists stuff coming out. So far I'm taken with "Hurley".

I'm super excited to see it, but I'm not expecting anything too over-the-top. There seems to be some creative liberties taken with it. I think the trailer for the film sets people up that their going to see something more horror or supernatural derivative.

I've got no clue of the actual address of the Comics Invasion wordpress blog but I do know it exists and is invite only sadly. I'm with you in this boat. Comics are expensive. I buy about 10-15 books every week and still dont read everything I want to do. Comics ain't cheap and reading questionable ones online is the best road to go.

I hate to use the term, but I would bet it's Hackers at work. It seems to
coincidental that it's just the graphic novels and it's the same style
pricing that affected the amazon prices too.

Hi Jon,

I'm running the gamble on this too. I noticed the glitch late last night and
decided to pass, but when it was down to $8.24 on multiple omnibuses that I
wanted and that the glitch hadn't been fixed, I went for it. I really hope
my order goes through buy I won't be surprised if I get the nice "we messed
up" reply from Amazon.

I really loved this film. Let me know what you think about the ending, especially the appearance of the creepy cab driver at the end and what you think that means. Too bad this film was marketed as a pure slasher film, because it's much smarter than it appears.

The twist is soooo obvious you want it to be something more than what it is. For being a lengthy film was an obvious ending I was really let down. Yeah it looks good, but if the ending is that clear cut from the trailer, what's the point?

It was a decent film for what it was. surprisingly short though, it should have been about 20 mins longer. It really suffered from wanting to hit upon ever bullet point of the graphic novel and became overly complicated, without any real justification. I thought the look of the surrogates worked. They were waxy, plastic looking and creepy. The dead son plot point wasn't in the graphic novel, and was obviously added in for mainstream appeal. In the end of the book the wife doesn't survive, she decides to kill herself instead of live in a world were she ages and is physically imperfect. Great graphic novel, watchable, but passable film.

Disagree. Maggot was a interesting character until they fucked up his origin and his Maggot's were his stomach cancer turned into mech worms. Also, Slipstream was a valuable member of the X-Treme X-Men, but i think they kind of forgot about Slipstream and Lifeguard. Skin was also interesting too, until once again... they just dumped the character.

Oh man, I watched 'Man vs. Food' and he went to Round Rock Donuts and ate one of this. I instantly wanted to go to this place. I hear these donuts are better than Krispy Kremes too.

I was worried someone else would post that before I could since I just
loaded up my queue last night with tons of Halloween related stuff. That
scene was probably my favorite scene on TV this week. They nailed the voice,
and the background music. Community is killing it week after week.

That show is really good and features a lot of actors who are famous now or up-and-coming. If you like 'Freaks & Geeks' you should check out Apatow's college show 'Undeclared' which features a lot of the same actors. As much as I loved 'Freaks & Geeks', 'Undeclared' hit closer to home for me because I watched it when I was a freshmen in school.

I had the exact same experience. I found it funny even if things like heroine use are out of the blue and hard to watch, but... my girlfriend loathed the film (and I can see why). It's not for everyone.
