I defer to you on this one, James, as I've never seen Kolobos before now, so can't compare. It just seemed a bit bright to me, making it feel like someone had made it with a '90s camcorder. Arrow usually put a bit of work into their releases, but I don't know if the directors were consulted and approved of this new transfer. There's obviously a chance this is how they prefer it to look, and you've just got used to a muddier/darker version they didn't like from before, who knows!

Hello, Mike - yes there appears to be a Director's Commentary, advertised on the reverse of the Blu-ray. Our review copy was of the DVD, which doesn't have this included, as Davide mentioned in his review.

I joined a paranormal Facebook group once, mainly to read the real-life accounts from people and debunk those I could (not in a mean way)... and I have to agree, the membership there was 98% female. I was blocked after pointing out that "orbs" are dust particles.

No, sorry. Medium doesn't work like that. It's not a blog in the normal sense. But it has a powerful search facility, so you should be able to find anything you want by using that.

Over time, the homepage will also evolve, so particular things are highlighted - like, for example, all the Buffy/Angel reviews that will resume shortly. But it's more like a social/community platform than what Blogger offers. Sorry if a few things you like about Blogger has vanished or can't be replicated, but the pros outweigh the cons for me as writer who wants to reach a wider audience who are engaged with content they read.

Medium is evolving day by day, so maybe in the future they'll come up with something that works better for finding archival stuff. It's certainly improved enormously since when it launched in 2012.

The pilot was great, why didn't you watch more? It's a bright and fun show, which is such a tonic these days - like Flash. It has its problems, sure, but I can see it really turning into something very good.

Gotham is such a unique case. I placed it bottom of my list, but there are weeks when I feel that's too harsh - because it's beginning to embrace its craziness and sometimes that really works in its favour. I'm watching it every week, so it's doing SOMETHING right. It's just such a very weird approach and full of nonsense.

I quite liked how the loose ends of season 1 came back into play, as I'm more invested in what was happening last year - with Fisk, Lady Gow, Stick, etc. I didn't expect the situation with The Hand to now be something that's at the cornerstone of Daredevil. Looks like the show is building lots of layers - so pay-off probably won't come for awhile. Or when the breaking point comes, that's when DD unites "The Defenders"?

Kudos to Kumail for criticising a writer who just granted him a fanboy wish to appear on his favourite TV show. There's an unfortunate feeling with this series that Chris Carter is ticking off lots of "hot topics" that have arisen since The X-Files went off-air, and few of them are being given the time and attention they deserve.

Great spot! It honestly never occurred to me (been a long time since I watched early Breaking Bad), but heard it mentioned by a few others. Maybe every premiere will involve a cameo from BB, culminating with Walter White in the final season.

I've been watching some favourite episodes as a bit of prep and they still stand up. It was a great show that lost itself after season 6, for me. Nothing since ever lived up to S1-5.

I find it so weird you don't like The Flash, if you like Arrow. Beyond Oliver and Felicity, I find the "core team" on Arrow quite irritating these days. Flash's are much more engaging (maybe with the exception of Snow), and the stories more imaginative because it's less "real world". Telling that Arrow S4 has been improved by adding a villain who's more of a "meta-human" type?

How I wish 2016 had three specials (Easter, summer, Christmas) - that would be ideal. Hmm, the Class spin-off? I'm not sure where that stands, but suppose it could be ready by autumn as a stopgap for fans.

I'm just hoping he's not one of those writers, slightly like RTD, who isn't entirely comfortable in the sci-fi genre (as much as they love it). RTD's best episode were always the human-level ones, whereas Moffat's have been the Big Idea ones. It would be great to bridge that gap more (not that RTD/Moffat never managed it), but I don't know if Chibnall's the man for the job. But maybe we'll be proven wrong -- it's been years since he last wrote for DW (it'll be six by the time Series 11 starts), and I have no doubt that Broadchurch has been a HUGE learning experience for him.

I find comedy is tricky to review anyway (who's to say what YOU find funny), but frankly I began to fall out of love with Peep Show after series 5. It just became an endless cycle of them having failed romances ever series, which this final run didn't move away from. It didn't end in a particularly memorable way for me, either. You'd be forgiven for expecting a Series 10, such was the lack of a big climax. Christmas specials are clearly on the horizon in a few years' times.

It always has some fantastic lines and scenarios that make me grin, but I think Peep Show was a missed opportunity. I wish it had found more ways to explore those two characters, other than through disastrous love lives.

I know. I didn't notice that until afterwards! I can't think of a single UK show I'd gladly swap something around on my list, though. Doctor Who is a favourite show of mine (maybe always will be), and Series 9 was good overall, but I'm not exactly thrilled by it very regularly now. Some of the newer shows on my list stole one of DW's places, by virtue of being fresher and more exciting to me, that's all.
