He is learning how to self soothe. I can tell you I was about to lose my goddamn mind every time she cried herself out (and most nights it went on for 45 minutes). It stops, I promise, if you do something about it now. My nephew can't sleep in his crib and he is almost 3 because his mom never let him figure out how to fall asleep on his own. They can do it, they just need you to give them space. Letting go and letting them figure things out on their own starts way earlier than you ever thought it would. Go take a shower and pretend it isn't happening. I would have been calling 911 every 10 minutes if not for this book. It's just common sense stuff no one tells you. It's certainly not a moral one either. If sex education tried to promote restraint instead of "use this and don't worry" then I think people would be better off. As long as the consequences of sex are removed by condoms then people will not truly consider their actions. If there are no consequences then there's no reason to take it seriously. Also, if more people did have a responsible attitude about sex then there would be less disease and unwanted pregnancies.
