And I agree with your observations about that event being an opportunity. (perhaps a missed one) To move this nation into a new, better place.

Re: Mabel

Why is it I got a little ego jolt when you mentioned my name in your video post?

Short answer: because I'm an actor

Re: Temple

awesome. Nooooo! I feel like gave up on being above politics a bit already. I'm still with him, but I was more excited about him when he wasn't particularly fond of DEMS or REPS. I think he's losing the independents. I have a feeling most DEMS are so tired of conservative presidents that they would vote for a Ficus (nod to Michael Moore).

I miss the old Obama that sounded kinder, smarter, and less ass-holey than most politicians. Maybe we're both just saying how he'd win US over as individuals, but I'm convinved the whole country feels what I feel. All the time. :)

My opinion is that he's understandably tired. When I hear him speak, he sounds like he's on autopilot, and he might maintain who he's got on auto, but he's not gonna win anybody over.

He needs an event. His most powerful surges came when something big (good or bad) happened and the world waited on how he would respond. And then when he showed his characteristic grace and wisdom, people flocked to him. Think about it: his racism speech in response to Rev. Wright, his win in Iowa and subsequent speech, his convention speech. I know you can't really plan that sort of thing, so it's not as much a strategy but a prediction. I think this election will take one more dramatic turn. And Obama's response to it will win the election.
