This was such a great post and interesting read. I agree with all that was said. I recently helped a new blogger set up her blog and encouraged her to use her name. For my own blog (DailyDwelling)...I've been blogging for seven years and feel such a connection to my name that I don't know that I could ever re-brand with my own name. Just saying my blog's name brings a smile to my face (still, after all this time) and it reminds me of my calling to "dwell", which applies to so much of my life and what I blog about.

I first read this on my phone and had to come back to comment. We have had very hard transition times and I've been in the place of being completely DONE. It is in that moment that God steps in and works wonders. I'll be praying for you and for your home to be filled with His peace during this time.

Miracle on 34th Street is most definitely my all time favorite!! We've started a tradition of watching the Polar Express with our kids on Christmas Eve. It's something we all look forward to.

I am constantly striving to care for my family first and make them my ministry priority. We're getting ready to move to TX where my husband will have leadership over several other chaplains and I am praying about how I can reach out to their wives and minister to them.

I wrote my blog's mission statement several years ago. I go back to it whenever I'm feeling lost in this online world.

Here's my mission statement...
Using the scripture Philippians 4:8, the Mission of DailyDwelling is to DWELL on what is TRUE, HONORABLE, RIGHT, PURE, LOVELY, OF GOOD REPUTE, EXCELLENT, AND WORTHY OF PRAISE as I honestly and consistently share my life experiences as a Child of God, Wife of an Army Chaplain, and Homeschooling Stay at Home Mother of Four.

It resides in my About Me page. :) I need to make a pretty one like you have at the top of this post, though, I love that!

We're using a lot of the same curriculum. My oldest girls (twins) are second grade. We're using Sonlight, Aplogia's Botany, and Saxon Math. I hope you have a wonderful year!

This is so true...remembering that today is all that we have changes everything. It changes our actions and every choice that we make. It also reminds me that I have an eternal home that I so look forward to.
