Laura, that is very tempting. The economy sucks here too. I've decided that if I lose my job I'm going to travel for a year or so with the money I've made. I'd definitely charter a flight to see you! Are you going to be in Korea through 2010?

also, 440 isn't bad spread out over a whole year...32 weeks per academic year (not counting summer) is about $12 or so a week? Not bad. Actually it's not bad at all. I miss Champaign bar prices. Drinking in Chicago is highway robbery-- and there's no true Murphy's, to boot!

In response to number 13: I knew that our friendship was based on some hidden agenda: Vito won't be 18 for a whole 'nother year so stay away! Ironically, the Godfather box set is one of the few DVDs we don't have. I think I can dig out every season of the Sopranos* if you're so inclined.

*I've never seen any of the Godfather movies, nor a single episode of the Sopranos, but I really want to someday.
