To short42, We are not allowed at Walmart to have our managers cell phone numbers unless they give them out. No one has access to anyone's private cell numbers as you have said. The ways to reach Walmart is to call the 800 number or try your own store which in my experience reaching my store was always an adventure trying to get someone to pick up the phone. Cell phones of management are not considered appropriate or legal as a way to communicate.

I am amazed at these morons who support Walmart. You know who you are not worth repeating your names. It's getting old with the answers in quotes and the answer of "at your favorite stores like costco and target". It's fucking old!Try answering with a smart educated response or don't respond at all. AIG was a company that everyone thinks is a disgraceful company for what they did but Walmart passes them by a mile. Daily verbal abuse, hours cut, store managers having affairs with associates, poverty level wages, non-affordable disgraceful healthcare,a sick policy that makes me sick.Please don't respond because I don't care to hear it. billybob44, walmart puts the percentage of employees covered by their insurance policy. They are wrong. It is for publicity only. The insurance plans are disgraceful. Where do you come up with sitcoms and what do they have to do with this? Stay on the subject at hand. I just left Walmart for a better company. But Iknow what the margin of profits are for their products. It is enourmous. They average mark up is 65%. That is the average. Some products have a prfit margin of 105%. They CAN pay for health insurance and raise pay without even raising prices. If you do not know what you are talking about please don't make an ass of yourself. It is amazing how much of a profit, pure profit Walmart makes from their everyday products.Again, Walmart can rescue their image by two things, raise salaries and pay for good medical care. They make a profit of 400 billion dollars a year. And another thing people don't see is the amount of waste their is in this company. Items that go down the garbage chute but they still get full credit for.Walmart should want to have employees that are fully dedicated to them and want to keep their jobs until they retire. If they paid a living wage, paid for most of GOOD benefits and treated their employees in a decent manner they would have a company to be proud of and employees that would respect them and give them 200% of dedication back. This is not a union issue. It is an issue of what the right thing to do for the people that work for you. If customers comes into a Walmart and see a happy face on ecery employee and get the best service and always see the same faces when they come in, it makes them feel as though they are shopping not only for their family but with their "family". That's why people like the mom and pop stores so much. Because you know everyone by name. I have seen it time and time again. I really wish Walmart would just do those few things and they would be the most admired company to work for. What does it take to get them to do this or are they beyond their own greed. It is very sad.

Al, I just don't know where you get the idea that I am pro-union. Never said it. And to you everyone has a favorite store like k-mart and costco. Where do you come up with this? I have recently left Wal-mart to work for a far better non-union company that pays a living wage and also has great benefits annd they paid 75% of them. It is very old that all you say is "your favorite store k-mart and costco" to everyone you answer. I initially went to walmart to work because I lost my spouse in a tragic accident. I needed to get something to feed my family with. But after working there I realized that they want you to think you are a "family" membe but you are not. The verbal abuse and harrassment which all employees deal with is bad enough but what is worse it that financially Wal-mart CAN pay more for salaries and give better benefits. They just chose not too. Again I worked in the guts of Wal-mart and was able to see their profits and what the bonuses and expense accounts are for the big wigs.

Al and all his insane buddies, Walmart CAN pay higher wages and give better benefits. First of all, the amount of commercials that Walmart run is ridiculos. Everyone knows who Walmart is. It cost alot of money to run these commercials. Mike Duke needs to sit down and get a set of balls and finally act like a human being and run a business as he says is his family. It's not about making anyone rich, it is about making sure that people can live to pay their rents and eat and also be able to afford decent healthcare for themselves and their families. This is not a call for employees to become millionares. It is for them to be able to survive. I'm so tired of Al and his asshole croonies sticking up for a company that abuses it's employees in every way.Stop doing all the quotes - it is juvenile. You have NO idea what goes on daily at any given Walmart. And until you do please shut the fuck up.The best thing Walmart could do for its image is too raise employees salaries and give them better healthcare.That would change their image hands down.Pay a living wage for a full weeks pay and respectful benefits that don't take all of your paycheck.It's not that difficult.

Al, first of all what is your deal with always bringing up costco. I havent seen anyone bring up costco but you. And the unions you talk about are not what you say they are asshole. You get paid benefits and better benefits with a union. Union wages are very low. These are not the unions of many years ago. Do your homework before opening your mouth. Filming of meetings in stores with voice recordings of the verbal abuse. Pay wage info, benefit info, child labor law abuse, pay offs, and much more. Maybe just maybe the two of you idiots need to know what is going on right nder your noses. It doesn't matter to me that you love Walmart. Other retailers have their issues also but Walmart by far has the most infractions. When you are hired and sit in orientation it is all about what a great company Walmart is.
