I've had a NJ E-ZPass (agree with you on the spelling!) since early on and it's always been a $25 replenishment, even with two cars on the account. I actually looked at moving to the PA one, when it became available, and I felt that it was a higher ding rate ($35/tag vs. $25 overall), so decided to stay with NJ. Now I'm using a credit card, but I suspect that the same option might be available for a debit card with Visa/MC. (I don't know if you do that or not.)
