I've actually set an appointment on my schedule for "reading" ! it's helps me to not have the excuse that there is no time for it.
I'm not a big reader - would like to do anything but that - so it's an area I have to be conscious of and make more of an effort to improve !

Consistency is exactly what I'm missing in my life .. in so many areas, Eric . I too had a workout coach - for a couple months and then due to some randomness of nature ( my best guy friend diagnosed with Cancer after buring my Aunt in Oct '08 and buring a close g'friend in Jan '09 ) It all seemed too much - I just stopped .. slowly, it decreased from 5 days a week to 3 days a week to 0 days a week. And, even though I want to improve my health and physical appearance I am not consistent with the effort / work it will take to make that improvement.
Lack of confidence or belief in my own success has been key to many of the disappointments I've had in my life. . . but you 've helped me identify that its also a lack of consistency as well.
Hmmmmm This is Huge ! I know exactly what I need to do now - thank you so much !!

Find a company or product / service that you believe in ... get a relationship with someone in your organization that you 'trust' to be your mentor !

Speaking with family and friends is a challenge when I get caught up in wanting to take responsibility for their success. The thought of Something we can do together - and share a lifestyle that we dream of gets everyone excited, but sometimes they just don't get it , or just don't want to commit to the work it will take. You said it perfectly. Eric .

QOTD: As you mentioned , "expectations" ... for me, it's always been a battle between wanting to build a Network Marketing business to prove my negative friends or family members wrong when they "expected" me / or the opportunity to fail, AND for me to get out of my own way - and stop worrying about the NO's and find the YES's and not get caught up on how long it might take . I also recently discovered that I have been stagnant - almost frozen in my own tracks - for fear of actual success in my Network Marketing business. Crazy but True !

Thanks for letting me see it in writing , Eric ... Wow - I've got to get busy and refocus.

My suggestion for a phrase would be two simple words . . . " Back Off" ! Simple , Easy to understand, direct and to the point.

QOTD : Used to read comics as a kid, but can't remember the names. I think maybe Casper ( the friendly ghost ) and the Archies ! Hahahaha I havn't thought about them in years. Good memories.

Eric - Another interesting question. I had to stop and think about it for a while. . . I believe I balance between the two. I'm blessed to have a loving family, and alot of great friends, many of them longterm . They don't believe in all the things I do ( like Network Marketing as a business ) but are supportive in other ways . . so I spend time with them( the ones who love me ) and personally, find myself searching for someone to love me ( i'm divorced ) and that takes up my time, as I seem to be picky.
In business I dont feel the need to spend time "wanting" others to love me. I'm likeable I've been told, and I ignore the negative opinions the best i can. I've never spent time trying to convince someone to love me. . . but possibly have spent more time waiting to see if someone would eventually say they loved me ! Does that make sense ?

How is it that you could possibly know each day what I need to hear, to think about , to pay attention to ? It's quite remarkable that all day yesterday and again this morning I've been focusing on some family issues - stressing about my daughter passing her licensing test this morning, and worrying about my bro-in-law's knee surgery which he just left to go into OR ( i got a text from my sister - gotta love technology ) and here you are talking about relationships and family !
Wow .. i'm so blessed and grateful to have you in my life and mentoring me in all areas - not just as a network marketing professional.

QOTD: I lived by this philosophy, and have very little debt. Being unemployed for 6 months has shown me that if I had large debt like many of my relatives, friends and business associates - I'd be in foreclosure and in huge financial trouble.
Currently I spend more than I make, as the unemployment funds are fraction of my previous salary. It's scary .

Loved this video - took notes and am a student of your teachings.

I've watched this twice... lots of great information ... I am getting together with my daughters this week, and will have them watch as well. They are 23 and 25 respectively... and your message is so clear to me , I'd love them to hear it and get the same "reality check" !
My dad used to tell us when we were younger " lay down with dogs , get up with fleas" ! But your mention of comparing income of the 5 closest associations, you have is very telling. And limiting the time we spend with "negative" friends is also powerful. Can't say enough about this powerful training.

Good recap Eric. Success comes in all forms and shapes. We should all learn from others who have accomplished what we are wanting to accomplish .

QOTD: Travelling to Ireland with my whole family. We tried to save money and booked a flight on Aero-flot ( ?? spelling) airlines. People were tellling me that there would be stray barn animals tied to the seats and wondering in the aisles... i laughed along with them.
When we boarded the flight - there were others who were already on the flight and were quite drunk. Large men speaking a language I had not ever heard, and very loud. There was fog / smoke coming out from the a/c vents. We were told it's condensation from being in Florida ( humidity outside ?? ) My dad looked nervous as hell , my mom started to fidget as we sat down and buckled up in our seats... But , once the water started dropping down on our heads from the air vents above our seats, we all started to laugh ... We were in for a long flight - one that we were thankful made it all the way to Ireland. Great trip and Great memories !
