A good start would be to fire the City Manager whose repeated sexual transgressions created this mess in the first place. It is incredible that you are still rooting for this individual after the damage he has done to the reputation of Mercer Island and to the taxpayers who will be paying the bills!

As a M.I. resident since 1980, I have followed the actions of the city council. In too many cases, the council has been run as a private "club" of insiders. Attempts to elect candidates without ties to vested interests have failed. Outsiders such as Ira Appelman were opposed vociferously by the Mercer Island Reporter's editor and other backers of the status quo.

The cronyism protecting a City Manager with a history of sexual transgressions at the cost of M.I. Taxpayers is an outrageous example.

Obviously, it is time to clean house at City Hall!

Don't you understand the concept of private property rights? You and your mutt are ineffect trespassing on somebody's property. Would YOU feel the same way if I walked into your home and defacated there and then cleaned up the poop?

Thank You, Rivian!!! Your comments are right on - and hopefully more M.I. residents will take an interest in the cover-up(s) at City Hall perpetuated by some of our elected officials, viz. Pearman and El Janke.

I had hoped that some residents would have questioned the City Council about this at the last Council Meeting on May 04. Sadly, no-one raised this subject during the open part of the meeting - so I guess it is business as usual in Silly Hall...

Your "reporting" is totally biased and is doing a great disservice to Mercer Islanders who deserve to know the FACTS about this entire cover-up by ...just publish the public documents in the next issue of the M.I. Reporter and let your readers decide what this cover-up by current and past members of the City Council "Old Boys Club" is all about.

Thanks to the furtive action(s) by Messrs. Jancke, Pearman, and Cairns, we - the taxpayers of M.I. - are now exposed to a Million dollar lawsuit.

It is high time for some changes on the City Council and at City Hall.
