Wanted to like this tripod, it’s creator lives near us here in Maine, it has some clever innovative touches, BUT the build quality especially the (plastic) ratcheting legs, one of which, failed after three (light duty) uses, leaves me very disappointed. This tripod is unreliable for some uses that it was purchased for. If they could get the build of the legs right I’d be a fan but until then I’d pass on the current model of this tripod. Buyer beware.

So, Let me get this straight #ShockMyPic is no longer available or shall you be releasing a new version . it is currently unavailable in app store!?
So you all have abandoned any further development or upkeep of ShockMyPic? If so thanks for a cool appI still have it on an old phone.

So sad that my neighbor for well over a decade has passed on. What a tremendously fortunate community we are to have had Michael these years. I Do have an audio file of Michael Macklin reading this poem in particular , but the version is titled "Two Lanes". I think it was about four years ago that I recorded it. I have 6 short pieces / poems he shared with me that night. Rest in Peace Michael, thank you for everything, every gesture, every helping hand, every incisive use of word and blade, you will be missed.

This poor excuse for a 'man' is all full of piss & vinegar about his roll and his justly stepping on a non threatening woman ( yeah right dumbo an apology?!), what if some thug put his foot on his daughter's throat, neck & shoulder the way he had done to Ms Valle ? You'd want your daughter to apologize to her perpetrator the way you're asking for an apology from the woman you Stepped on & ASSAULTED,,, MF you got some 'splainin' to do! to a Judge in a court of LAW. I truly am hopeful a judge with common sense views this evidence and puts this miscreant in the slammer & the fool loses his property over this one. What a freaking loser. & Rand Paul I hope this 'turd' costs you the election.

I love the track "Circling Birds" haunted by the guitar technique.
This is a wonderful set of images so double the appreciation for

Thank you for your post. in making this post the link has been viewed 333 times in 2 hours this story resonates with a lot of people. That they did not respectfully close for the day is the corporate indicator that "they have strayed far from the path".

The Bailout should have some contingencies=PROFITS made by CEOs & other execs/industry types of ESPECIALLY FAILED corporations need to forfeit those profits giving the bailout only when those that got from the lack of scrutiny & ill gotten gains be required to pony up/fess up and return these unjust profits. LET us Scrutinise and account for,,,
We have to have some "balls to the law" and justly punish the deal makers who are not suffering like the commmon men & women of our country.
This is a Bush legacy coming to fruition, what an utter catastrophic mess, let us bite back onto the lobbyists, lawmakers, and mortgage industry types who are "getting away with murder!"

Well it did not show on this monitor so I assumed,,,
the issue that I think warrants consideration is that I clicked within your window and all the videos went on at the same time it was freakish and odd so I wanted to mention it, this was of course after watching them all separately, it was an inadvertent click . I think the video comments are an asset for a number of reasons some covered in Loic's recent post , soon I;ll get up to speed .

I think the addition of Video comments and the collaboration of DisQus and Seesmic ispromising to say the least even cool, certainly adding an expanding dimension to comments (possibly a nuisance as well) BUT;
Weirdest thing watched all the video comments then scrolled up and tried to click on a link ,,, and all the video comments started playing at once! YIKES!

Seemingly some wrinkles need some ironing.

Most definitely would get a better result covering the red light (the reflection of which is detracting) and switching the video cam to a macro setting Then setting them on a flat surface propped with whatever (books bricks chairleg whatevah)) the results could be significantly improved and clarity enhanced @ 5-6 inches from viewer, otherwise it's fuzzwads of below par visual transmissions.
