Get off your high horse. College students EVERYWHERE handle drug issue lightly. Are Benildeans being a little over the top in this thread? Maybe, but to say that they're the most unintelligent in the philippines is a gross insult and makes you sound pretentious as hell. Also to say that "Drugs damage a persons welfare permanently" is just plain ignorant. I can point you at hundreds of people who are recovering addicts of shabu to occasional pot smokers and their drug use has in no way PERMANENTLY ruined their welfare.

You think drug use is only an issue at CSB? I've seen people from Ateneo, UST and UP all laughing at Tulfo for this issue because they know that drug culture is something that most colleges deal with. Singling out Benilide is infantile and judgmental.

Not to mention instead of handling this matter privately with the school and his daughter, Tulfo decided to publicly expose her, which may actually lead to her explusion or other consequences.

If you're gonna call everyone else an idiot for stating their opinion, then you're just as big an idiot as they are.

It's not that the school isn't concerned about the student welfare, it's just that the offices and staffers are incompetent at getting anything done. Trust me, I'm a CSB grad and it's incredible how many times I had to deal with departments that didn't know how to do their jobs.

I've been so tempted to post about how spectacularly self loathing Pinoys can be towards their countrymen but mine would have just been a paragraph of swearing and ranting. You on the other hand havbe managed to convey my frustrations more eloquently than I could have managed. Thanks for this Lars.

The general uproar we have as a people, be it full blown fury towards a small and insignificant slight, or praising to the heavens a successful foreigner with a little pinoy blood; is utterly ridiculous. It's a shame that we as a people cannot see the amazing things that our country can produce, and instead focus on shaming those who insult us (because lord forbid people have an opinion,) or claiming successful foreigners as successful Filipinos (because everyone forgets Jessica Sanchez is also half Mexican, was raised in the US, and probably had no idea what it meant to be Filipino til we joined on her hype train.)

Or you know, maybe the police could do some policing and catch them instead of resorting to idiotic measures that are going to be nowhere near effective. Ban hammers? Ok they can buy wrenches. Ban hats? Ok they can use hankies. It's moronic. Then what? Ban anything that can be swung that weighs over 10 pounds? Ban the sale/wearing of anything that can possibly cover your face or weapons? Hey wait aren't their security guards in the mall for stuff like this?

Sure let's just go naked to a mall that sells only pillows and bread. That'll teach those robbers and make sure they don't try it again.

Falling is actually quite fun. It lets you know you're learning/
