I really like it. It makes me feel stuff. It's evocative. Like the bit with the car. Makes me think of the whole pace of life thing; not really taking the world in as we fly through it in a box. Which complements the rose-looking thing contorting in the corner of what looks like a box. Perhaps that's a grim interpretation. I like it though.

Are they? I mean, it would turn every post into a thread. Comments are good for that. I prefer this here disqus. But now replies are pretty popular, you can have a set of comments you'd love to respond to, and no elegant way of doing so.

Hi Mabes,

You just set up a new blog with the old name after renaming the old one first. So I did that by changing it from 'crowth' to 'cr0wth'. I then registered a new Tumblr under a different email address. I didn't really want use a different email address so I changed the email address to something different too. Once they're both different, you can sign up for a new Tumblr with your desired email address and old name and voilà. Just copy and paste your theme and tweak your settings again. Mine still points to crowth.net because I own that domain so I just removed redirection from the old and added it on to the new.

Hope that makes sense. One day they'll have an automatic teenager-blocking setting to save all this trouble.

It's not the 'quaint British' twist that bothered me, it's the comparison to the Tea Partiers. The Tea Partiers are a painfully misinformed collective of rabidly disaffected people who have been rallied together by a number of big-business funded conservative groups, such as FreedomWorks, and have drank the Kool-Aid that Fox news slops into their living rooms. They're populated on the fringes by white supremacists looking to make inroads via their crowd anger, and have very little to say about any specific political change they want to see besides the repealing of law that they believe to have legalised 'death panels', the kicking out of all the illegals using racial profiling, and Barack Obama's birth certificate.

Beyond the distasteful nature of the comparison, it just doesn't fit. The Lib Dems have long been a fixture in parliament. There's no 'spontaneous' movement of protestation against parliament, there's simply a lot of people who haven't seen Clegg on an equal platform before. While I personally approve of the direction political reform would go in if Clegg had his way, his party's policies are only modestly different to the other two neoliberal parties.

Unfortunately, that's also what you'll hear the group more readily comparable to the Tea Partiers saying. The rabidly disaffected, angrily xenophobic nationalists who gather in the streets and will give their votes either to the BNP or UKIP - any unpleasant alternative to the parties who they see as part of the problem, the Lib Dems included.

It's pretty good other than the battery life not being great. Daily charging is necessary if you do a lot of internetish stuff. Ask Gillian about it at some point, she has one.

I don't try and publicize it too much because it's still early days and I don't want to invite people I've never even met to come and see me potentially die on stage. Luckily tonight went well, which is nice. I'm at the Ape and Apple Comedy Balloon night on the 10th of Feb if you're at a loose end. It's on John Dalton Street, though I'd guess you might already know that. I have no idea what the night is like, but I've been told it is often just comics in the audience and can be quite quiet. So if you fancy a quiet night of comedy it might be for you.

If snow and ice on the Trans-Pennine Express line doesn't thwart my plans I'm supposed to be in your neck of the woods tonight, trying to beat the frog at the Frog and Bucket. That's a comedy gong night just in case you're not sure. I'm not actually going to be smacking up amphibians. Hopefully I'll have a chance to get my funny on and not get stranded on the way back!
