I'm super disappointed by andreas' comments regarding sex workers. You guys might be served by actually asking an indoor sex worker about why she may or may not use bitcoin. The idea that pimps are for protection is old, outdated, and displays a gross misunderstanding about the majority of consensual sex work.

There are some super rad things going on up here in Canada right now. Bitcoiniacs the physical brick and mortar exchange, promised us in Vancouver one of those nifty atms.

I'm pleased but also not really relieved about this. FinTRAC deciding to regulate bitcoin could have even been seen as a plus by some because it would be validating. This also doesn't mean they won't change their mind about it. But there are some great things going on here if you want to start run a business.

This is a really fascinating project! I hope it hits its goal. I'd be interested in seeing how people respond to it.

I definitely come from a wave of the population that gets many things for free, but also understand paying for things as a way to keep our favourite artists and industries afloat.

That's also why people would consider investing in it - because this is an innovative project that can help Bitcoin grow. :)

Two of the three above authors are my favourite!

My favourite book that I recently read was "The Blind Contessa's New Machine". It's gorgeous and mythic and so beautifully written.

My favourite author of all time though is Francesca Lia Block (http://en.wikipedia.org/wik.... Her work is magical realism, with tons of characters searching for and creating magic in their lives. It's so beautiful and really shaped my world view and my own writing (http://www.faeriedark.com).

In December, I hung out for a few blissful days with a lovely individual from the West Coast. She shed a tear while we listened to music from Phantom of the Opera. I was enchanted! After she left, I was inspired to write a synopsis of a rose-themed theatre for an art installation I'm doing in April. It was magic!
