They don't owe you anything. Maybe they are limiting your reach because they don't like what you say. So what? Their toys, their rules. How outraged would you be if they called for the government to force you to host content for say, Al Franken or Michael Moore?

If you don't like how they manage their platforms, choose another more open platform like dreamwidth or hubzilla or twister. You have a lot of clout, and if you switched to a more open platform a lot of people would follow you.

Re: Monero, the Drug Dealer’s Cryptocurrency of Choice, Is on Fire

I certainly want to increase everyone's wealth at all levels. I also want to see everyone have as much say over their lives as possible.

Speaking for myself, I think the government at all levels has become incredibly wasteful, parasitic, and authoritarian. IMHO, if the money currently wasted by bureaucrats were left in private hands, it would generate a lot more wealth. I also think a lot of things that are stifled by excessive government regulation (new housing, new medicines, new technologies) would arrive a lot more rapidly if the government were scaled back.

So, my preference would be to scale back the government to a much smaller fraction of its current size. And if that were done, I expect it's financial needs would be covered by modest consumption taxes, affordable to all.

Re: Monero, the Drug Dealer’s Cryptocurrency of Choice, Is on Fire

Taxes would shift from income and investment to consumption goods, especially those that can't be easily hidden (land, houses, cars, etc).

Re: Polystyrene Concrete: A Versatile Construction Alternative

The polystyrene is embedded in a matrix of cement. For example, a book that would've cost 1 BTC a couple years ago, now only costs 0.01 BTC. This is [price] deflation. By contrast, a book priced in dollars that cost $20.00 a year ago, might now cost $21.00. This is [price] inflation.

Re: Girls Chase

Other than being a paying customer, I have no affiliation with girlschase, and I think it's a great site. Now you're just messing with us. While not the abomination that Aliens 4 was, Fincher forgot that you actually have to care about the characters. After ruining the ending of Aliens in the first five minutes, Aliens 3 kills off the one remaining sympathetic character in the first 20. Who are we supposed to care about after that? Angry, suicidally depressed Ripley?
