I did enjoy Catching Fire and I would have been delighted to take you. :) Had to go by myself.

Re: Panthers S Mike Mitchell Calls Drew Brees Soft

If a quarterback IS going to cry, he should sit on the bench with a towel over his head.

Re: Now for a new distraction: Fantasy Football September 2, 2013 5:17 PM

I have Fred Davis and Torrey Smith on my team, too. Adrian Peterson and AJ Green are great fantasy players. Cam Newton, Steve Smith, and Frank Gore are pretty reliable. I've never had much luck with Ryan Matthews but he does pretty good when I don't have him. Good Luck, Kim. :)

Re: The best of ordinary days August 16, 2013 10:01 PM

My best days are days when I go to sleep at night not upset about today or anxious about the next day. It's something I really need to work on because it's entirely too low a standard. I let too many external forces get to me. I need to be a little happier in life.

Re: How Comment Spam May Have Killed Commenting Here July 18, 2013 1:07 PM

Tried to install Disqus at my place. Couldn't get it to work. Just as well, I suppose. I noticed that your entries here don't show that there are comments. I don't think I'd like that. I am within an inch of requiring MT or TypePad registration, though. I think I have two entries open for comments and I still get spam.

Re: Conquering the swirling ball of distraction July 20, 2013 1:36 AM

Not wild about those surprise meetings. The people calling them have too much advantage. You can't help but go into one on the defensive. You should have as much time to prepare your answers as they do formulating their questions.

Re: 7 Blogging Mistakes to Avoid at All Costs

At one time or another, I have made them all. Number 6 was due to
Hurricane Katrina so I'll take a mulligan on that one. I find the whole
thing a little ridiculous. If a blog has a stated purpose, I suppose
you can try to grade it. Good luck with that. Most blogs are still
personal and have no objective stated purpose. A blogger posts
something that's on his or her mind. People comment or not. How do you
grade a conversation?

Re: Update on MySQL server issue

mysqlv18
205.178.146.77

Re: The Packer Backer Blog, a Green Bay Packers Blog

Thompson didn't make him retire. He made him commit. They had a draft, a free agency period, and a season to prepare for and they wanted the most important position on the team accounted for. Not at all unreasonable on their part. No way does this end well.
