Yeah... I was not happy to see that today after weeks of no drops. I thought they only did that with the game consoles. Guess they figured out they could cash in by putting more behind the TT wall. :-\

I can second this. It's definitely about having stock in the area. I was striking out on all the drops until the one the other day. Even after fumbling with my phone and honestly taking longer than I should have, I was able to grab one. You are basically at the mercy of local inventory it seems but when they have it, you have a real chance of getting one if you are paying attention to the notifications.

I would agree if you don't play handheld much or if you have the updated red box version. As a launch Switch owner, the battery life is really becoming an issue for me. However, I play undocked 80% of the time so the battery gets pretty abused. To me, the $50 premium for the OLED screen is worth it since I was going to get one regardless thanks to the terrible battery on mine.

Target seems to be getting pretty regular stock on the website. I managed to get the white version yesterday morning super early. Looks like others have had success recently as well.

I checked my Wally World this morning around 7:30 and it was a depressing experience. ALL cases were completely empty of systems. Both the PS and Nintendo section. Didn't even have any standard model or Lite in stock. Rough.

The notifications work for me via browser and text alert but they don't do any good. I've yet to click and have the item in stock when notified. I guess they sell out in seconds because I click immediately when I get the notification and they are already gone. My launch day switched failed and I've been trying to get my hands on a replacement for over a month with no luck. I follow a couple Twitter accounts that post when Best Buy has stock but three times now I've added to cart and it was gone before I could even click the checkout button. Here's hoping we get lucky and can grab one soon!

It's awesome that Amazon has had PS4s available for almost 9 hours now! Hopefully everyone who was waiting to get one will have it in their hands soon.

It's funny how quickly we get spoiled by the better graphics. I have been playing AC4 on my PS4 for a few weeks and then I went to a friends house tonight and he was playing AC4 on his PS3. I was amazed at how much I could tell the difference! Had I not seen the PS4 version before, I would have thought it looked good but now that I'm spoiled by the PS4's graphics, I could spot so many corners that had to be cut for the PS3 version.

I came across one on a random Wed night at my local Walmart last week. Had I known I had someone at work looking I would have picked it up for him! Though, he's pretty set on Amazon so I have a feeling he doesn't want to pay tax.

I hear ya. With as difficult as these have been to get, I know a few people have ended up with two from difference places just to make sure they scored one before Christmas. I was lucky enough to catch Amazon back on the 3rd. Fingers crossed for my co-worker and everyone here hoping on Amazon again today.

I was going to suggest Mario Galaxy myself ;-)

I have AC4 and very much enjoy it. The graphical difference between my PS3 and PS4 version isn't mind blowing but it's noticeable. I wouldn't say anything out there right now is must have for either PS4 or XB1.

I noticed it doesn't show up on the main screen but it's still in the drop down. Stock isn't really an issue for it anymore, though. It's been in stock consistently at Amazon for days now.

Thanks! It wasn't really on my radar until the PS4 came along. Once I got PS+ and started looking around at the free games it got me thinking. That plus the remote play made it enticing.

This isn't exactly directly PS4 related but kinda. Other than the remote play capabilities of the Vita for PS4, is the system worth getting? Amazon still has the Black Friday bundle marked down at $189 and I was thinking of picking it up. I have a 3Ds but have heard there are some good titles for Vita that make it worth it beyond just remote play capabilities.

IMO, unless there is a PS exclusive you really want to play, you can hold off on the PS4 for now. Many of the games are available on both systems so your XB1 should hold you for now.

Noah, you just described by thoughts on the PS4 exactly. I think it's a great console and definitely the future tech to own. I have AC4 and think it looks amazing and I'm excited for the upcoming 2014 titles but will be finishing up a couple of JRPGs on my PS3 so that will still be getting a majority of the play time in the near future. The hype and hunt for the system sure was a rush, though!
